Review of Sagar Institute of Science Technology and Research.
Placements: This course is introduced this year, so the first batch has not passed out yet. Ours is the first batch. This course has its own value, so I trust that we can get the best packages. The top recruiting companies for this course are Google, Flipkart, Wipro, TCS etc. No internships are offered because it is our first year, and we have to wait for the third year to get internship offers.
Infrastructure: The coordinators said that the campus is Wi-Fi enabled, but it's not true at all. The college has 4 computer labs, but the experience is very poor. We can't compromise with the old version of Windows. But it has a good library with maximum books. The quality of food is not so good, and the menu is repeated by the mess community. There are two hostels on a single campus, one is for boys named as Nalanda, and the other is for girls named Takshilla. The hostel campus and facilities are good, but the rooms are non-AC. Each room has a bed, almirah etc. The college has its own canteen. It doesn't have sports and medical facilities. This is a very poor and disgusting thing in the college. They don't provide any games facilities for students.
Faculty: The faculty members in our college are very experienced and are experts in their fields and are very successful. They are very helpful to students. They have maximum live examples for every single topic, so they are experts in explaining the topic, practically or theoretically. The campus has all the labs, but the lab assistants are poor and lack knowledge about the experiments. The college has an auditorium with no AC. It also has two audio-visual rooms with AC. There is no problem of any kind here regarding semester exams. Students take semester exams seriously. The pass percentage is 13 marks out of 28.
Other: I chose this course because this is the era of automation, and all the corporate life works or industrial works and professional business are going toward automation with the help of artificial intelligence and machine learning. This makes the hectic life easier. It helps to automate and self-working by designing the respective types of robotic machines. Most of the events were held, like Robo Race, Robo War etc. Category-wise scholarships are provided. OBC students get 28,600 per year, SC/ST students get 60,000 (approximately) etc. Extracurricular activities like departmental training, hand-held training, workshops on different topics, etc., are conducted. Events like an annual function called SISTEC Fiesta, fresher's party, farewell party, Holi festival, etc., are held.
