I am absolutely satisfied with placements in 2026 and the sports opportunities offered.
Placements: Around 85–90% of students get placed. The highest package is around 50 LPA, while the lowest is 3.5 LPA, and the average is around 7 LPA. Companies like EY, Baker Hughes, KPMG, Mahindra Rise, HSBC, GreyB, and Deloitte recruit students. Roles offered include Software Development Engineer, SDET, Data Analyst, and AI/ML Engineer.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is up to the mark. Students are asked to fill out forms for improvements, which are later considered. There are many food options available, including Domino's, Dunkin', and What-a-Burger, offering a wide range of food items.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and well-qualified, but some could improve their approach to teaching. The course curriculum is almost relevant to industry standards. It includes hands-on experience with the skills learned, allowing students to apply them to real-world problems. The exam level is fair enough, and the passing percentage is 33%.

Good placements, a very beautiful campus and infrastructure, and industry-focused learning.
Placements: I am pursuing B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering and Data Science. My passing-out batch is 2026. Around 92% of students are placed. The highest package is up to 26.41 LPA, while the average package is around 8.7 LPA. Top recruiters include Microsoft, Amazon, IBM, etc., which offer different roles for students.
Infrastructure: The Computer Science department has well-equipped, computerized smart classrooms, high-speed Wi-Fi, and a modern library with both digital and printed learning resources. The infrastructure supports practical learning. The hostels are clean and comfortable. The mess and canteen are good and have decent food with multiple options. Medical assistance is always available. University offers different games and good indoor and outdoor activities.
Faculty: Faculty members are helpful and experienced. They explain concepts properly using different ideas. The curriculum is regularly updated and is according to the industry. It has different roles in it, helping students build different skills. Semester exams are of moderate difficulty and are manageable with regular study. The overall passing criteria are good.

College faculty members and infrastructure are very good.
Placements: Every student in our group gets many tasks and roles to do, and we learn so many things. The highest, lowest, and average packages offered in our course are also very good. Almost a good number of students get placed in our course. The top recruiting companies for our course are Dell, Infosys, etc.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi availability is very good. Labs have good equipment, the classrooms are always clean, and almost all important books are available in the library. The quality of facilities in our hostel is very good. Every student gets their basic needs regularly.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is also very good. The course makes students industry-ready. The semester exams in our college are good, sometimes hard and sometimes moderate. The passing percentage for passing the exams is above 33%.

Good infrastructure, campus vibe, and facilities.
Placements: My name is Ananya Soni. I'm pursuing B.Tech CSE from UPES Dehradun and am currently in my 3rd year. I'm in batch 2024-2028. Almost 80-90 percent of the students get placed in this course. The highest package last year was 1.2 crores per annum, and the lowest package offered was 4.5 LPA. Top recruiters are Samsung, IBM, and Infosys. In my course, 100 percent of the students got internships. The top roles offered in my course are software engineers.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very good, with well-built and maintained classrooms and labs. The hostel is also well-maintained and has a lively campus vibe. The hostel has a great vibe with students jamming and good facilities for sports too, and well-maintained courts.
Faculty: Teachers here are very supportive, cooperative, and knowledgeable too. The course curriculum is also very relevant and makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are moderately difficult. The pass percentage is around 90 percent. The course is very preparatory for the industry.
Other: I chose to pursue this course as it has a very bright future. I wish the fests would be better. There should be more activities or events to keep the students enthusiastic.

Not good value for money.
Placements: The college promises 100 percent placements. The highest offered across all batches and courses is around 26 LPA. Companies like Cred, Infosys, Dell, etc., come to the campus for placements. The percentage of students getting an internship from the course is around 70 to 75 percent.
Infrastructure: The campus is situated on the outskirts of Dehradun. Labs equipped with computers and fast Wi-Fi Facilities. A big library with a very wide selection of books, be it course-related or not. The university offers an on-campus hostel option and the food is also decent.
Faculty: Teachers are incredibly helpful and easy to approach, with very good knowledge about their respective subjects. The exams are of moderate difficulty, and the pass percentage is usually 35 percent. The course curriculum also considers the current job market.

The crowd is horrible. The college can be much better.
Placements: I have not yet sat in the placements, but from what I have heard from the seniors, the placements are really average or below average, to be honest. Either the person has to work hard themselves and go for off-campus if they have any self-respect, or just slog in a switch company and suffer for the rest of their lives.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is really average. The computer science labs have very outdated systems. The overall ambience is decent, and cleanliness of the college is maintained to be honest. The campus has decent greenery, and abundant exposure to wildlife can be seen.
Faculty: The faculty and course curriculum, like any other college in India, are not of much use, and not much help or useful actionable advice can be expected from the teachers. Semester exams are easy to pass if one studies smartly and on time and does not procrastinate things.

As for B.Tech at the School of Computer Science, UPES the intake capacity is 400. But the institute has more than 15 specialisations in collaboration with IBM/Xebia. So the total intake capacity is around 600 in a batch.
