The NIU BSc course admission is decided through the performance of a candidate in the CUET entrance exam. The CUET entrance exam is only held once in a year, giving candidates one chance per year to qualify for NIU admissions. The NIU BSc application process can only be completed in online form. The entire NIU BSc admission process has been described in the steps below:

STEP 1: Registration for the CUET

The first step of the BSc admissions at NIU is the registration of a candidate on the university's official website. To do this, candidates simply need to visit the official website of NIU (https://niu.edu.in/) and click the Apply Now 2025 tab and select your category. Then, candidates need to fill in the details as asked and confirm their email. Once completed, candidates will be able to access the BSc admission forms. Here, the candidates will need to fill in their personal and qualifying details.

STEP 2: CUET Registration and Counseling Process

After the candidates have filled the admission form, they will be required to attach the necessary documents for their BSc admission. To submit the application, candidates will need to pay the NIU BSc application fees. The following documents are recommended for the NIU BSc application process:

• Certificates along with mark sheets of both Class 10 & 12
• Proof of both ID and address
• Passport-size photographs
• Character certificate
• Migration certificate
• Domicile certificate
• Attested copies of birth certificate and last qualifying examination
• Attested copies of any other necessary document required (SC/ ST/ OBC certificate etc.)

These documents will then get verified by the university. Once the verification process is complete, candidates will be successfully registered for the CUET entrance exam. Candidates are required to prepare accordingly to secure an appropriate rank. If the candidates succeed, they will be proceeded to the final admission process.

STEP 3: Selection of Campus and Confirmation of Admission

Candidates who secure an appropriate rank in the CUET entrance exam will be called for the counseling rounds. During the counseling rounds, candidates will be asked to select their choice of campus. Once the candidates lock their choices, they will be asked to pay the admission fees for BSc courses at NIU. The NIU admission fees is currently unknown however, the admission fees typically involves the first instalment of the tuition fee for the chosen BSc course. The first instalment of tuition fee can range from INR 1.03 lakh - INR 1. 81 lakh. Candidates also eed to pay a security deposit of INR 10,000 as security fees.
