B.Tech in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering - Batch of 2022

It is one of the top colleges in central India.
Placements: About 60% of students get placed on our campus. The salary package offered ranges from 3-12 LPA. The average salary package offered is 4.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies like Cognizant, Tata Consultancy Services, Accenture, Capgemini, etc., visit the college for placements. The top role offered is a software engineer.
Infrastructure: Our college has a vast infrastructure. It has sufficient classrooms, staff, and facilities for every student. Our college has Wi-Fi and labs for every branch. Every branch has its own building. There is a basketball court, cricket ground, volleyball ground, and football ground.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are well-qualified and experienced. They are experts in the subjects they teach. I do not know about the current teachers. But the teachers from 1st and 2nd years are excellent. Semester exams are not that difficult.
Other: Samvid is one of the largest fests of central India.

Review of Shri Shankaracharya Group of Institutions.
Placements: Almost 30% of the students from our course got placed. Many students didn't sit in campus placement because most of the companies were hiring students for the sales department. Some companies are gender-biased like in Byju's they hire boys. In some cases, they hire students after the training period is over.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good, and every department has its own building. There is even a separate building for first-year students. I never lived in the hostel, so I don't have an idea about mess services. Medical facilities are available since our college has its own medical college.
Faculty: In the electronics department, all the teachers have thorough knowledge about the subjects they are supposed to teach. They are helpful and always ready to clear the student's doubt. They are lenient and polite, but they are also harsh when needed. Teaching quality is good, and there are labs for every subject.
Other: I have chosen an electronic course because it has a vast scope in hardware as well as software. For practical knowledge, our college should take students on industrial trips.

The infrastructure of our college is very good.
Placements: Placements in our college are only beneficial for CS and IT branches. The salary package offered is 2.8 LPA to 3.6 LPA. The selection is also up to the mark. Top recruiting companies of our college are TCS, Capgemini, etc. The recruitment process is not for branches like EE, EEE, etc., and if it is provided, then they are very less in numbers.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is very good. Classrooms, library and labs are well-maintained. There is separate space for boys and girls in the libraries, and students are given 4 library cards. The college canteen is also very good. The hostel is good, but the mess in it is not appropriate.
Faculty: The teaching process is good. Faculty members provide notes which are sufficient for exams. The knowledge of faculty members is great, and the rules for attendance is also great. Students are not allowed to appear in CT if the attendance is less than 80%. Overall, it is good.

Dissatisfied with the course because of the crowd, very less exposure.
Placements: 1. About 17-18% students got placed. 2. The highest salary was 30000 per month and the lowest was 18000 per month. The average salary was 22000 per month. 3. Tech Mahindra and TCS were the top recruiters. 4. Software Engineer roles were offered. 5. The highest package - 4.2 Lacs the lowest package- 2.4 Lacs Average package - 3 Lacs was offered to our course. 6. We did not have internships but projects.
Infrastructure: 1. Labs were good and the classrooms were not very good. There were no projectors in the classrooms. There was also no AC in the class. The library was pretty huge and had all kind of books. 2. The quality of hostel is also not that good. Food was very bad almost all the times. The sports facilities were also very bad with just one ground to play all kind of sports which was also not well maintained.
Faculty: 1. Some teachers were genuinely good. Some were average and 2-3 were very bad. So, overall the quality of faculty was average to good for students. 2. The curriculum was very relevant. It made students aware of the industry norms although it didn't actually made them industry ready.

Review of Shri Shankaracharya Group of Institutions.
Placements: Placements in our college are average as many non-tech companies or BPOs are the major recruiting companies, along with 3 to 5 IT companies. The salary package mainly ranges from 3-4 LPA. Capgemini, Collebra, TCS, Byju's, etc., visit our college for placements. The highest salary package was offered by Byjus, i.e., 10 LPA.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure of our college are good. Our college is equipped with Wi-Fi facility, labs, classrooms, library and auditorium. The hostel has Wi-Fi facility, and there are separate rooms with many students. There are separate hostels for girls and boys. Our college also has a medical facility, canteen and mess facilities.
Faculty: Teachers here are good enough, helpful and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality is average, but not best. You could not get a more practical approach, which must be included in the course. The course is more based on a theoretical approach. It doesn't make students ready for the industry.

There are highly qualified mentors, good infrastructure, and decent placements.
Placements: Around 65% of the students got placed. The highest salary package offered was 4.7 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was 2.5 LPA. The average salary package offered was 3.33 LPA. Top recruiting companies for B.E. for the batch of 2016 were Tata Consultancy Services and Tech Mahindra. Roles offered for B.E. are assistant system engineer and trainee. Internships are not popular among students of our college, instead of internships, students tend to lean towards vocational training.
Infrastructure: We have well-functioning labs for all the subjects. Wi-Fi facility is decent during the college hours, and it tends to be a bit slow because of the higher number of students using its limited bandwidth. Classrooms are decent, i.e., spacious and with good visibility from all angles. The library is vast and equipped with a huge collection of reference books, GATE exam study materials, and miscellaneous topic books. Since I was a day scholar, I don't have much idea about hostel life there.
Faculty: Teachers in our college were very helpful, immensely knowledgeable and highly qualified. I never felt the need to go for tuitions outside of college for understanding my subject topics. But if someone's target is GATE, then one might need some extra coaching for practice purposes. The course was relevant, to some extent. Now that I have been working in IT industry for more than 2 years, I got to know that it takes the hands-on experience and completely get industry-ready, which no college can fully provide.
Other: I have chosen this course because of my interest in electronics. The best thing about this course is that we learn what we like. The course curriculum is designed in such a way that we can opt for IT jobs with B.E. electronics degree as well. I really wish there was some interaction between students of different branches of the college. Samvid is the techno-cultural fest organised by SSGI. These were the 3 most fun-filled days each year of our college life.

Placements are decent. Infrastructure is pretty good. Faculty and course curriculum are average.
Placements: Placements in our college are quite good as compared to other colleges affiliated to the same university. The placement statistics are gradually increasing every year with more number of companies coming to the college for placements. The average package offered is around 4-4.5 LPA. This year, the highest package bagged by any individual is 12 LPA, which is quite impressive. Overall, the placement scenario in our college is pretty good.
Infrastructure: The most attractive aspect of our college is its infrastructure. It is one of the decent colleges in Central India in terms of infrastructure. It has its own central library, and the library has all the necessary books, journals and magazines. Our labs are quite well maintained. The quality of our classrooms is just average. Food available in the canteen is average. Overall, the infrastructure of the college is pretty decent.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are good. The quality of teaching is above average. Some of the teachers are really good, but we have only a few faculty members. Modern teaching methods are not used here. Even the syllabus is not updated here. Industry exposure is not provided here. Even the syllabus contains the theoretical aspects but not the practical ones. One of the major drawbacks here is the college doesn't provide any practical knowledge. Overall, our faculty members are average.
Other: The events and fests are one of the major parts of the college, and this college is great in such aspects. The techno-cultural fest named Samvid is one of the biggest fests conducted in central India, and surely it seems to be the one. The campus atmosphere during the fest is enjoyable and happening. This college is recently accredited by NAAC with A grade. So it's going to grow well now.

Really good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: Placements are good enough to join the college. Companies like TCS, Tech Mahindra and Accenture visit the campus for placements. Placements for my batch were better than the senior batch. Almost 80% of students from all branches were placed every year. Not all companies but around 8-9 companies visited the campus for placements for our batch. The lowest salary offered by the companies was 2.40 lacs per annum.
Infrastructure: All facilities are available in our college. The quality of labs and classrooms is good. Hostel rooms are very good with all the necessary facilities. There is also a swimming pool in the girls' hostel. Canteen facility is also good; you can eat all types of food including South Indian dishes. No medical facilities are provided by the college, and there is a beautiful temple of lord Shiva on the college campus.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. The teaching quality was good, and we got industry exposure too. We have visited Karnala dam located at Kawartha district in Chhattisgarh. The teaching methods were average, and the faculty to student ratio was 1:6.
