Best choice -With experienced faculty, award winning infrastructure in the center of the city.

Placements: I can proudly say that everyone in our batch have chosen various streams of work as per their own interest such as being academicians, researchers, sustainable building consultants, and many more important and responsible positions with state and central government departments and private agencies as well. This resulted in no need for placement drive for our batch.

Infrastructure: I can proudly say that the infrastructure provided to the faculty and students is accoladed to be award winning not just one award but received many awards over the past 2-3 years. The university, classrooms, library, climatology lab, DIC, auditorium, exhibition spaces, formal and informal discussion /meeting areas, regular breakout spaces, sports arena, construction yard and many more can be observed and enjoyed by the students and faculty in the campus. Students are provided with the ease of feedback regarding the quality of facilities that are considered for betterment of the same.

Faculty: We had very good team of qualified faculty who were always supportive and patient enough in clarifying our queries and doubts. The course curriculum is framed such that it initiates a bridge between the academic knowledge gained to the industry requirement.

Other: School of planning and architecture Vijayawada is the first university in India to have M.Arch with specialisation in sustainable architecture. The very first impression of the university and course has been strengthened during the admission process, interview, test, group discussion rounds and most importantly the panel of interviewers who were undoubtedly the most senior and experienced in their field of interest gave much more confidence on the course and the university. Under the guidance of our director and faculty team who are pillars of the university, with progressing years the course, its requirement, the necessities to be learnt and the methods of learning are being revised and restructured as per the industry requirement on regular basis. The campus which is designed and constructed by team of stalwarts has been honoured with many awards over the past three years in various categories. The campus is also equipped with formal and informal spaces, collaboration spaces, exhibition spaces, most importantly dedicated sports arena suited for various sports and last but not the least very well planned and implemented landscape. This reminds me of various clubs such as photography club, literature club etc., clubs supporting students for architectural competitions, annual fest -INYAN, annual sports events, inter sports meets, innovative methods of teaching being adopted by faculty such as vertical design studios ( check website to know more about it) and many more that aims at not only imparting knowledge for achieving excellence in education but also extracurricular activities enhancing mental and physical strength of the student as well.

Review of SPAV, an institute of national importance.

Placements: From my experience, it's a diverse course where the students choose their career options like opting for higher education (PG or PhD), entrepreneurship or working in MNCs, offices, firms and also prepare for government jobs. Some of the students choose to work in the movie field as set-designers and assistant directors etc. The training and placement cell of the institute also supports the students by showing different job opportunities, especially in MNCs or in the government sector. Private firms approach the institute for the students of SPAV. The faculty of SPAV also help students in getting good placement opportunities.

Infrastructure: The college has excellent infrastructure and facilities that no architecture and planning institute in the country has. The academic block, hostel blocks, guest house facilities, mess facilities and all kinds of facilities are provided for students to feel safe and secure. It is a great place to study.

Faculty: The college has senior professors and also young assistant professors. They are qualified, very motivating, talented, inspiring and research-oriented. Many of the faculty help students to choose their career and get job opportunities. They also tune the students to be good human beings and also good citizens of the country.

For Master's in sustainable architecture, it is the best place to study in India.

Placements: In general, architecture college won’t provide placement like others. But here, no placements were arranged and we are the first batch. We searched jobs on our own, partially got placed at the minimum package of 22k - 50k and at an average package of 30 k. Students who didn't get placed in core jobs they easily got teaching profession at a package of 40k. Only, the name of the college helped to get placed in both the companies and in teaching profession.

Infrastructure: The college has been started at 2009 so the main campus is in construction. The college is functioning in a rented building and the hostels are situated at different places. Wi-Fi in college is there and it’s good as well. They have invested a lot in labs, whatever you expect for sustainable architecture like IES software, Climatology lab (Wind tunnel, Lux meters, Hot wire anemometer, Thermal imager, etc. everything is there. Library is just average. This campus has a strength of 400-500 students. One doctor is visiting daily for a particular time. Sports and games events are also excellent. Here everything is organised by the student council like mess, sports, etc. and the food is pretty decent. Though, it is a rental building, they have done the adequate things.

Faculty: Course and syllabus is excellent. You cannot find such framed course anywhere in India. Faculty members up to the mark. The main strength is current Director (IC) who did extensive research in this field.
