Good infrastructure and placement history, but faculty quality needs major improvement.
Placements: In the Mechanical Engineering course, around 75–80% of students get placed through campus recruitment and off-campus drives. The highest package offered is approximately 12 LPA, typically for roles in R&D or international placements, while the lowest is around 3 LPA, with the average package ranging from 4.5 to 5.5 LPA. Top recruiters include well-established companies such as Tata Motors, L&T, Mahindra & Mahindra, Bosch, Ashok Leyland, and Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL). Regarding internships, about 70% of students secure internships, often facilitated through college-industry partnerships or self-sourced opportunities. Companies offering internships include BHEL, ISRO, DRDO, Maruti Suzuki, and Bharat Forge.
Infrastructure: The Mechanical Engineering department is well-equipped with modern infrastructure. The department features dedicated classrooms with smartboards, high-speed Wi-Fi, and state-of-the-art laboratories. It has the Thermodynamics Lab, Fluid Mechanics Lab, and CAD/CAM Lab. The hostel facilities are decent, with spacious rooms, 24/7 Wi-Fi, and regular maintenance. Mess food is moderately good, with a balanced and rotating menu, and the canteen offers additional food options at affordable prices. The campus also provides access to medical facilities with an on-campus clinic and visiting doctors for basic healthcare needs. For recreation, students have access to various sports facilities, including cricket grounds, football fields, and indoor games.
Faculty: Faculty in the Mechanical Engineering department is generally well-qualified, experienced, and supportive. Most professors hold M.Tech or Ph.D. degrees and are knowledgeable. Guest lectures, workshops, and industrial visits are also organized to give students broader exposure to industry practices. The course curriculum is relevant and aligns well with industry standards. It covers both core mechanical subjects, including Thermodynamics, Manufacturing, Design, and Fluid Mechanics, as well as modern additions like CAD/CAM, Robotics, and basic programming. Semester exams are moderately difficult, testing both theoretical knowledge and problem-solving skills. The pass percentage ranges from 85% to 90%.
Other: I chose Mechanical Engineering because of my interest in understanding how machines work and solving real-world problems. The course provides knowledge, practical lab sessions, and opportunities for design and innovation through projects. However, there are a few areas where the course could improve. They focus more on emerging technologies such as AI in manufacturing, automation, and sustainability, which could better align the curriculum with current industry trends. Placement support for core mechanical roles can also be strengthened. Outside academics, campus life is vibrant with various technical and cultural fests, clubs, and events. The student crowd is diverse and energetic, contributing to a positive learning environment.

Not Satisfied with all the faculty.
Placements: Minimum we should achieve 70 % to get a job in placement. Its around 4 Lacs max and min 1.2 Lacs. Tcs and Infosys are top most recruiting companies. Not so much offered to us. Only 30 % students get internship from my contacts and I think it is very low.
Infrastructure: Faculty are pretty not good but they try to explain the best to all and make all students confident. There is only low Wi-Fi facilities. Good labs with library and awesome classrooms. Hostel is good. Some times food will be not so good as we expected.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful in explaining the real life achievements and failures in order to tackle them with confidence in our life with so much confidence and this will help us to achieve our goals and be us in a right path which helps in our future life.
Other: As it is ever green subject and by this we came to know what is life.
