St. Joseph's Engineering College in Bangalore is really good.
Placements: Maybe in my course there were like 20 to 30% people who got placement with the starting salary of 50,000-1,50,000. I dont know much about that, but as much as I have seen, some people get a salary as much as 25 to 30 LPA, and that is so far the max we have got.
Infrastructure: I mean, dont know anything about the hostel, but not gonna lie, college hostel looks like a jail, but the classrooms are good, they say they got Wi-Fi, but its a scam, I mean, the college is somewhat well maintained and all, and they keep renovating and stuff.
Faculty: Excellent, I really enjoy going to college, I mean our college, sir and teachers are damn good, but there are some teachers who you dont want to mess with, but there are some cool teachers who really have fun with students, I mean we used to hang out with Sirsa.
Other: I am from the mechanical batch M2.

The best college from my experience.
Placements: There is a good demand for placements. Students also get trained for their skills at all levels. Above 50 companies come in for the campus selection. Around more than 60% of eligible students got placed every year. A list of companies would be Infosys, TCS, Microsoft, Cognizant, Wipro, Amazon, HP, Mphasis, SAP, Decathlon, Tech Mahindra, Bosch, Capgemini, Citrix, and VMware to name a few.
Infrastructure: Hostel provides a good study environment and a fun environment side by side. As per the classmates, both girls hostel and boys hostels are very good. The monthly rent is Rs. 2500 per person. There are 2 sharing rooms. They provide 24-hour free Wi-Fi and nice toilets. Rooms are cleaned every day.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and qualified, and they are great doctors with perfect knowledge. The teaching methods of those teachers are perfect, and they teach with a smile and greet welcome towards our studies and problems that come to us. MCA branch especially is still adamant about following the concept of traditional learning. It's like 60+40, where 40 marks are for internals and 60 marks are for external. We write for 100 marks in external and it is converted to 60 marks. Preparatory exams are conducted so we come to know how the paper will be given. A good course similar to computer science. Mostly have programming languages rather than theory. It is easy to study and good to learn. It is a 3-year course and has 6 semesters. A little bit tough to pass the exam. But if get pass the exam you will get an overall good percentage of more than 70%.

Good campus & food. Faculty lack teaching skills. Hours are long. Placements need improvement.
Placements: About 50-60% of students get placed every year. The lowest package is 3 LPA and the highest is 12 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Wipro and Infosys. About 70% of students get their internships in companies like Infosys and local IT companies as software engineers.
Infrastructure: The campus is well-maintained and has a lot of greenery. Classrooms are also great and clean. The quality of the food they provide is great, and hygiene is maintained in every food they serve. The good thing is they provide a mid-day meal for needy students for just 10 rupees per meal, which is really appreciable.
Faculty: I am not satisfied with the teaching of our lecturers. They have good knowledge of the subjects they teach, but they don't know how to teach effectively. Exams are technically good, and the syllabus and question papers are also good. I'm really satisfied with the way they conduct the examinations, but they simply put more stress on handwriting, which is not important actually.
Other: I am an AIML engineering student. I chose this field because of the present demand for it, and I also have quite an interest in this field. I wish they would focus more on technical knowledge than useless subjects/theory.

It is good for teaching and non-teaching. I had great memories and great friends.
Placements: St. Joseph Engineering College (SJEC) is a distinguished private engineering institution located in Vamanjoor, Bangalore, Karnataka. It was established in 2002, and it operates under the auspices of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Bangalore, making it the sole catholic engineering college in the region.
Infrastructure: The CSE department at SJEC has an annual intake of 240 students. The department is committed to preparing students for successful careers in the computer and information technology industry, meeting the needs of both Indian and multinational organizations. To achieve this, the department maintains well-equipped laboratories and a dedicated departmental library. The campus is situated approximately 10 kilometers east of Bangalore city center. It boasts state-of-the-art laboratories, well-qualified staff members, and comprehensive facilities. The college provides separate hostel accommodation for both male and female students, ensuring a conducive living environment. Additionally, the campus is equipped with sports facilities, including an athletics track, basketball courts, badminton courts, football and hockey grounds, and a cricket field.
Faculty: Additionally, industrial visits are organised to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry requirements. SJEC's autonomous status, conferred by the University Grants Commission (UGC) during the academic year 2020-21 and by Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) in 2021-22, allows the institution to conduct its own examinations and evaluation. This autonomy facilitates the adoption of innovative teaching-learning methods and the formulation of an industry-specific curriculum. The examination section ensures that all assessments are scheduled appropriately, with results declared in a timely manner, maintaining academic rigour and transparency.

Review of St. Joseph's Engineering College.
Placements: I think 60% and above of students get placed, and my course is Computer Science and Data Science. The top recruiting company is Wipro, along with other similar companies. The percentage of students who get internships from our course is above 80%, but the waiting time is longer than expected.
Infrastructure: Labs are very clean and well-maintained. They provide us with good facilities, and faculty members are friendly and understanding, except for a few. However, the hostel food is very bad. We get the same type of sambar every noon. The wardens do not always understand us, and the hostel needs improvement.
Faculty: All teachers here are very educated and experienced, and they are very friendly, except for a few. The course helps us become industry-ready, and the syllabus is a bit difficult, but I think we can manage if we put in hard work and take the help of the teachers. The passing mark is 35 out of 100.

Supportive faculty, good labs, and campus, but limited placements and mostly off-campus internships.
Placements: Approximately 30 out of 140 students from our course get placed through campus recruitment, translating to a placement rate of around 21%. The highest package offered is 5 LPA, while the lowest is 3 LPA, with an average package of 3.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies include Mirafra, Infosys, Karmik, Brevera, and Light Mechanics. When it comes to internships, almost all students secure internships, although the majority are off-campus. Only 20 students receive on-campus internship offers. Companies such as Brevera, Karmik, and Mirafra provide on-campus internship opportunities. The top roles offered to students are in VLSI design, Digital Electronics, and Embedded Systems.
Infrastructure: The department offers dedicated labs for VLSI and Embedded Systems, with high-speed Wi-Fi and well-ventilated classrooms. Students have good access to a well-equipped library. Hostel facilities are satisfactory, with consistent water and electricity supply. While the mess of food is average, it is manageable. Medical support is available on campus through a health center. The institute also provides excellent sports and recreational facilities, including indoor and outdoor games. Overall, the infrastructure effectively supports both academic and personal development.
Faculty: Faculty members are helpful and approachable. They are always ready to clarify doubts and support students academically. They are well-qualified and knowledgeable in their respective subjects, and the overall teaching quality is good. The course curriculum is updated and aligned with academic standards, though it only partially prepares students for the industry. Semester exams are of moderate difficulty, requiring consistent effort to pass. The approximate pass percentage is around 40%, indicating a fairly challenging academic environment that encourages serious study.
