A review from a graduated student of this college.
Placements: There were placements from only IT firm and BPO. There were recruitments for the civil engineering in a Delhi based firm. No other placements were held there. The placements held are good for future interviews. Not a good salary is offered, but that is good to attend as it gives good exposure for future.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good. It has all the facilities of labs, computer labs, etc. The sports facilities like a basketball court and 7s football ground are available. It has transportation facilities nearby 25 km. No Wi-Fi is available. It helps you to participate in the inter-college games. It has sports day also.
Faculty: The college has separate buildings for each department. It has few qualified teachers, and few are freshers. The teaching is good, they give importance to sports and education. It has a friendly environment. 20:1 is the student-faculty ratio. They send us for industrial trading for 10 days. But, we have to find the industry to visit.
Other: It has a cultural fest held every year in March. It also had basketball inter-college competition.

Other: It is the best private college in Kolkata with world class faculty. Discipline at its best. In 4 years it not only provide a technical degree but it also grooms the student to perform in industrial fields. Overall it's value for money and I don't think any other private college can provide such environment for studies. It also provides library facility and laboratories with well-equipped machines and with upgraded model. Faculty is nice and friendly in nature.

Good for talented students.
Placements: The college is named as one of the top private Engineering colleges in West Bengal. The reason for this is the academics record and the placement in campus. Mainly Cognizant and Infosys are the mass recruiters of this college but students get other opportunities as well. I had got three placement offers one was in campus, one was pool campus and one was off campus. For hostel accommodations the college has no such place, but near the college students rent rooms and live there.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is not good. Well-equipped Laboratories for all the 4 departments. If you wanna opt for higher studies like M.Tech, M. S. then only come to this college because attendance here is compulsory. The placement here is good compared to other tier three colleges in Bengal. T is known for its excellent performance in the university and has been the front-runner in producing top rankers. Some of the students are now highly acclaimed and established being in prestigious government organizations like ISRO, BARC as Scientists and reputed Institutes like MIT, University of New Jersey, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, and IITs and Iims, IMS Ghaziabad for higher education. The college has produced students who are professionally well placed across the globe in some of the leading MNCs like Intel, Microsoft, Qualcom, Ericsson, Siemens and leading PSUs in India some of which are SAIL, BHEL, NTPC etc.
Faculty: A variety of teaching and learning techniques are employed to impart knowledge and skills to students at St. Thomas College of Engineering & Technology. There are about 70 permanent faculty members It is basically an institution for engineering and technology.
