The campus is descent teachers don't care about your attendence you get wifi RO water
Placements: In ECE majority students like 70% are placed in tech companies while other 10-15% students got placed in sales and rest are in core companies. The highest package on campus this year was 15 LPA and lowest was 2.8 LPA and average was 7 LPA. So placements are at a decent level. This college provides internship in 3 year.
Infrastructure: The hotel room are good as compared to other colleges. We have water coolers on every floor and a wifi access in whole campus area but hostel is really small. The college is surrounded by so many PGs which provides room at 2500-?3000 per month. They too have good facilities like RO wifi with speeds upto 1gbps and some also provides fridge. Mess food is pretty decent like all other colleges. They have variety but all food tastes same. I don't know why maybe they use same ready made gray for every sabzi.
Faculty: Techers are highly qualified like every professor is either have masters or PHD in their respective subject. There is one thing that depends upon person is that majority of professors don't care about your attendance. They just need you to give good exams.
Other: This college is best if your JEE rank which will be more than 1 lakh Or 90 percentile or less like you can choose other colleges but they are not value for money.

It is a government college, and our campus is good for studies.
Placements: Placements are less for the ECE department. Most of the students are placed in the IT sector. Top recruiting companies are Samsung, Wipro, etc. The minimum salary package offered was 5 LPA. If we want to join core then we have to give time to ECE subjects. The highest salary package offered was 8 LPA by Samsung. The average salary package offered ranges between 4 LPA - 5 LPA. Our college does not provide any kind of internships. If we want then we can apply off-campus for internships. Most of the students are doing internships from the first year.
Infrastructure: Our campus is small. The classrooms are good but there are no air-conditioners. Laboratory is fully air-conditioned, and Wi-Fi is available. Hostel facilities are better for girls. There are two hostels for girls. The old one is congested while the new one is better. The girls' hostel has a gym, study room, and television room. There is only one government boys' hostel and a mundi hostel. PG facility is also available for boys. The boy's canteen remains open till morning to evening. Anyone can purchase food from that canteen. For a medical emergency, there is a dispensary that provides facilities during working hours. Playground is available on our campus. Sports like badminton, cricket, basketball, volleyball, etc. are available.
Faculty: Professors are good, highly qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is average. Our course curriculum for the ECE department is not updated while for CSE and IT is good. Some subjects of ECE like micro is related to the industry while most of them are not. There are 3-semester exams i.e., 2-MST and end-semester exams. The attendance criteria is 75%.
Other: Tech and social events are conducted on our campus. There are different clubs for technical studies and social activities. Dramatics society Shor is also active, and the dance club Dcult is good. The best thing about the ECE branch is that there are many scopes for government jobs. Our campus is very peaceful.

An honest review of Swami Sarvanand Giri Regional Centre, Panjab University.
Placements: The placements for CSE and IT branches are quite easy in our college, but for mechanical students, it's not easy to get on-campus placements. For ECE students, there are also no jobs in their core field. 80 to 85% of students got placed on-campus with an average package of 5 to 6 LPA. This is different for different branches. Companies like Wipro, Tata, American Express, etc., come here.
Infrastructure: The college has beautiful lush greenery around. It has separate hostels for boys and girls. Books for all departments are available in the library, and you can take them home for 5 to 7 days. There are various sports available like volleyball, cricket, basketball, badminton, and football. There are many clubs in the college, like Algoders for coding platform, Tech for various IT-related and marketing-related activities. SHOR for dramatics, dance, singing etc. Hostels are nice, and they are allotted to the students on a merit basis from the second year onwards. The food is great if we consider mess standards, but for non-Punjabies, it can be hard in the beginning because they prefer dal in their meals.
Faculty: The course curriculum is the same as provided by the Bar Council of India. The faculty to student ratio is 1:10, and the staff are very polite and cooperative. Our class strength is around 60 students. There are two MSTs in our college. Exams can be easily passed in this college because you get lots of time to prepare for exams.

Partially satisfied. You have an opportunity to get in Chandigarh after clearing PU MET.
Placements: The campus placement is average. About 90% of students from computer science and information technology got placed but placement percentages for other branches are quite low but the best thing here is college allows you to sit in campus placement in quiet Chandigarh campus. Many of our seniors who got good academic grades got placed even being from ECE.
Infrastructure: Due to covid norms, the campus is not opened yet but I went there for reviewing my college and infrastructure. The campus is not so big. It has an average campus but is full of greenery. College provides you with a better environment for studying. Hostel rooms are a quite better and better environment for studying. It also has a Wi-Fi facility.
Faculty: All the teachers are supportive except some teachers which are not so supportive due to their busy schedules. But they also help you in your academics, they courage us for coding and development for our future. As I mentioned above college is not open yet, we have to attend online exams and exams are not so hard.

Good infrastructure but bad placements.
Placements: Very few companies visit the Hoshiarpur campus, We had to travel to Chandigarh (UIET Chandigarh) Main Campus for placements. Only two companies came for ECE branch. Most of the guys got placed in MNC like Infosys, TCS and Cognizant (Non-core jobs). It is also very difficult to travel to Chandigarh every time for placements and We had to pay for college bus too, so that was additional financial burden.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is quite average but we had good library. The speed of Wi-Fi is pretty good too. The food of mess and canteen is okay. The courts and grounds of Football, Basketball, Volleyball and Badminton is good. The environment of the hostel is quite good and I enjoyed it there.
Faculty: Some teachers are helpful but most of the teachers are there for attendance, It is a government college so cant do much about the teachers. The curriculum is as par with the other engineering colleges in the country. The semester exams are not difficult and its quite easy to pass. The passing CGPA is 4.0 but to sit in placements you need atleast 6.0 CGPA.
Other: I got that college according to my JEE mains rank as I did score good marks, I just wanted a government college so I took admission in the college. The college is 5 km from Hoshiarpur bus station and is situated on Una road. The surrounding is quite good as it has lush green environment. The extracurricular activities are quite good. Fests and MUN takes place once a year.

I am satisfied with our college. It has good placement records with good MNCs.
Placements: It is a good course, and it is related to the present market. Infosys was the top recruiter, and other good startups visited here. The training and placement cell works to invite good companies to the college for placements every year. They take care of placements and confirmation and help with placements.
Infrastructure: There are all basic facilities like Wi-Fi, a hospital and games. Good quality food is served here. There is a ground for sports events, and Wi-Fi is available on every floor. The library has all books, which are required in the curriculum. There are books by famous authors.
Faculty: Exams were not difficult here. I passed with 71% of marks. The curriculum is according to the latest market trends. Semester exams were not difficult, and it was easy to pass with moderate hardworking. Students get options to pass exams with the help of mid-semester examinations.
Other: Our college organises an annual function and tech fest every year.

Placement issue and lack of facilities.
Placements: None of the companies visit this campus. Mostly companies comes in the main University Chandigarh and we sit along with other student in placements. So it's very difficult to travel from Hoshiarpur to Chandigarh everytime when a company come for the placement.
Infrastructure: Hostels are above average but mess, as usual just edible, is literally such a mess. Sometimes the mess food is so bad that you have to order something from outside but I guess all messes are like this only. Other than this everything is fine, I enjoyed a lot in the hostel.
Faculty: Some teachers are very helpful and have amazing teaching skills but few are very rude and not have good teaching skills even though they might have knowledge. Sometimes, teachers are allocated to different subjects which they have zero knowledge that's literally the worst thing I faced in this college.
Other: Although the study material and methods are not that good, but the campus is literally amazing. Festivals, events, everything is just amazing. This college is located in such a decent/quiet place. Nice place for self study. One thing I can suggest that there should be some coding camps or extra classes for any stream who's interested and the companies should come here as well for the placement.

The college is out of the city and has a peaceful and non-violence area. It's good for hard workers.
Placements: I am a student of ECE in the first-year. A good percentage of students get placed here in companies like Infosys, Sonalika, Tech Mahindra, etc. Most of the students have cleared GATE examination. The average salary package offered by companies is 3-4 LPA.
Infrastructure: The campus is good, and the hostel facilities are good here. Along with the campus, it has a football ground, badminton court and basketball court. Sports club have good arrangements for games. Every year a sports meet is organised by the college, and anyone can participate in it. All labs are good, and the lab assistants and professor are very friendly. It have two hostel for boys and one for girls. All the hostels have their own mess, 24x7 Wi-Fi and electricity. Classrooms are good and have fans.
Faculty: Teachers here are very good and qualified. They help students in any way, be it economically or mentally. If any teacher is not available or they are on leave for 2 months, then guest faculty members are also appointed here so that no one can distract from their studies.
Other: I have chosen this course here because teachers here are good to guide at GATE and government jobs. I think there should be some improvement in core branches with workshop and labs. About 2-3 fests are organised here in a year, which includes law fest, technical fest, cultural fest and sports meet.
