Really good in placements this year in 2025, and good in study too.
Placements: In mechanical atleast out of 35 students, 33 or 30 get placed. The highest package is 13 LPA, average is 7 LPA, and the lowest is 4 LPA. Top recruiting company for mechanical is Godrej. Students got internships in CSIO and BIS, some local companies too like BELL and DRDO.
Infrastructure: Girls hostel is clean and neat. Mess is good. Wi-Fi facility is there. We have a library. There are mess and canteen. Good food is available but not that good. But for boys hostel, it is somewhat mess. There is cold water to drink, and the hostel rooms have a balcony.
Faculty: For mechanical branch, faculty members are sweet and helpful. They explain things much well. Faculty teach you to tackle the interview, and they teach you everything. Semester exams are somewhat difficult but if you study hard marks can get better. Pass percentage is 40 out of 100 marks.
Other: Mechanical engineering is a wide option to choose for a career like non-tech or tech. The course is already good, it doesn't need anything to change in it. Event happens mostly, and fest happens once a year in November. Scholarships are there for the top students who get more than 60% in their category. Extracurricular activities require you to take your own supplements to play. There are volleyball ground, football basketball, table tennis, and many more.

Best college to consider.
Placements: The number of students placed in BE mechanical is approximately 80-90%. The average package is 10 LPA - 12 LPA. Top recruiters are Adani, Total Gas Gooderage, BEL, Quant, etc. About the internships, there are 2 type of internships, 1 is 6 week internship that is compulsory to do, and 2 one is 6 month which is not compulsory, you can do that if not you can give the exam for that semester.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure are good, not too bad according to the fee. I can say it is a good library, labs are average, and classrooms are average too. The hostel is not that good. The mess is okay, not too good but hostel fee is Rs 2,000 yearly.
Faculty: Teachers and teaching at CCET are very good. The exams are not that hard compared to Chandigarh as exam comes from notes and the material provided by teachers. The paper is set from a main branch but good thing about CCET. Teachers of CET check the paper. The teaching at CCET is very good.
Other: I chose mechanical as my course because of my interest in cars and automobiles. The events are not good but the college provides scholarship.

Review of Chandigarh College of Engineering and Technology.
Placements: Placements for the mechanical branch are not good. Placements are decent for CSE and ECE courses.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is not good. Hostels are not good. They need renovation. It is better to stay in PGs.
Faculty: Faculty members are quite dedicated to students. Our department faculty members care about their students. They are good. They try hard to teach students.
Other: Mechanical students mostly write GATE or other competitive exams. I would not recommend joining this college for students who want placements.

I am absolutely satisfied with faculty members but average placements in mechanical and civil.
Placements: Most of the 2nd and 3rd-year students get internships in nearby industries in Mohali, Dera Bassi, and industrial areas. Students who have connections get internships in big companies like Tata, Godrej, etc. For a 6-months internship in the 8th semester, you have to do it in big companies.
Infrastructure: The quality of food served in the mess is good but there are no canteen facilities. After lockdown, the canteen isn't open yet. In sports and games, you have to do everything yourself. There is very less involvement of college. Wi-Fi facility is available in CAD labs. Library is good and you will get all books.
Faculty: In our college, faculty members are well qualified and have deep knowledge. They will help you when you are stuck in any problem. From my point of view, not all subjects are necessary. Few subjects have no use in the industry. The 6th-semester examinations are quite tough compared to other semester examinations.
Other: There are three types of scholarship provided namely, merit-based, category-based, and EWS.

Overall, this is a good college and value for money.
Placements: Most of the IT companies visit the campus. The average package offered is around 6 LPA, and startups like Jaro Education, Codebrew Labs, etc., visit the campus along with top recruiters like Amazon, Godrej, Infosys, Mahindra and Mahindra, Gemini Solutions etc. This year, the highest package offered to a student off-campus was 1 Crore per annum by Amazon Berlin. He got 2 offers, and one of them was from Uber India. Another student was placed this year in Walmart with a package of 30 LPA. So placement-wise, the college is good. Every consecutive year, placements are getting better.
Infrastructure: The college has 2 boys' and 1 girls' hostels with a very low fee, around 4,000 per year. Hostels offer good food at low price. The college has a football and cricket ground with basketball courts. The college has a good infrastructure. Construction is going on. The government is investing money in this college, and a new academic building is under construction. A new boys' hostel will also be constructed soon.
Faculty: This college comes under Panjab University. All the examinations and curriculum are organised by Panjab University, which is one of the top universities of India. At the end, you get a Panjab University degree. Teachers are good. They are well qualified. Since it is a government college, all the professors here are recruited by UPSC.
