B.Tech. in Civil Engineering - Batch of 2023
3.2
Swami Vivekanand Institute of Engineering and Technology is a good college.
Placements: There are placements for computer science students, and the average salary package offered is 3 LPA. They do not provide placements for all branches.
Infrastructure: The hostel is good. There are some labs. Facilities are average. The infrastructure of classrooms is good. The library provides some books and materials.
Faculty: They do not conduct industrial visits. Lab sessions are not conducted.

I don't recommend this college.
Placements: No placements especially for a civil and mechanical branch. Only a few companies will come for CSE and electrical that's also for formality they will max of 2 students with the very low package which you can get better by yourself. In college, they use posters of IBM Indigo Microsoft which are fake.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure and hostel are not too bad but mess food is the worst you complain how many times it does not matter for management. The library is okay not bad. The classroom is not good in the summer season you will die. Labs are like old museums covered with pigeon shits.
Faculty: The worst faculty teachers with no experience. Our teachers come there to take experience by teaching. Teachers will teach you by watching youtube or if theory they will just read and go.
Other: When I joined I know nothing there was no one to tell me what is good and what is wrong I just got the scholarship and from the scholarship itself, they selected a college for us who got a scholarship from Tripura the director of a minority scholarship got a lot of money from the college for sending students or for select college for the scholarship. The college only cares about the money they don't have even a little interest in education quality. They maintain only college appearance by gardening. Nowadays knowledge matters. No one will even open your degree they will recruit you on basis of your knowledge and ability but this college make you focus on only how to pass or get marks.

Absolutely satisfied because of faculty and good placements.
Placements: 60% of students were placed in civil engineering in 2019. The highest package is 8 LPA and the lowest is 4 LPA. Top recruiting companies such as Tech Mahindra, Memsys, IGI Airport, etc. visited for placements.
Infrastructure: The campus has fully Wi-Fi, labs are good digital classroom is also available. The library is good. Hostel quality is too good well mentioned and food quality is average. For hostellers, the college organises DJ night sports meets and many events.
Faculty: The faculty is well qualified as well as helpful. Course make students industry-ready. The pass percentage is 90% in the year 2020. Semester exam Little bit tough as per University rules but students can handle that. Because faculty put all effort to make students industry ready.

Don't take admission in SVIET. Save money and your career.
Placements: The word "placement" was only used for ECE and CSE branch students in my college. No company visited our college for civil, mechanical, and other branches. You can check records and can ask any SVIETian unless he/she is SVIET management person. I request all the students to take admission in a good college/university. Don't take admission by considering the low budget and join a disgusting college like SVIET which only focuses on collecting fees and fines from students. They use students for their benefits. I will rate 0/10 for the on-campus placements.
Infrastructure: The on-campus infrastructure was awesome. The only thing I liked the most about SVIET was its infrastructure. The college has good playgrounds, gym, building, classrooms, and mess. However, the quality of food in the mess was bad. The only thing I miss about SVIET is the cricket ground and my friends. The auditorium on the campus was awesome. The classrooms were good, but benches were not that good. The hostels on the campus were good. There was no ragging and racism in the college. The canteen was good. Though the library wasn't big, it was awesome and satisfactory. There was Wi-Fi facility on the campus, but its speed was very low. There weren't any labs for civil engineering, and even no practicals were performed in the first four semesters. During my 5th semester, a lab was constructed, but still, no test was performed except slump test. Around 2 to 4 tests were performed verbally (like isme aisa hota hai, ye iske liye use hota hai. Just like pradarshani huyi thi). You can just imagine that civil engineer students didn't perform practicals, and it means a lot. Sports and games activities were regularly done on the campus, and there is no complaint about it. The quality of food in the canteen was good but the worst in the mess. I will rate the infrastructure 6 out of 10.
Faculty: The college doesn't give the salaries to their staff on time because of their low budget. The faculty members are the worst except for some. Some faculty members are knowledgeable. If these faculty members teach you, you will become an engineer without any practical knowledge. You will learn nothing, and you will feel ashamed of yourself after four years of your degree. By joining an institute, I came to know that I didn't even learn basics from my college. I feel very bad that I have wasted 6-7 lacs of my parents. I feel like I just bought my degree for 6-7 lakhs from SVIET and wasted my important four years of life. I would like to rate the faculty and course curriculum with 1 out of 10.
Other: There is no complaint about events and fests on the campus. August 15 and October 2 weren't celebrated in the whole four years of my degree. The campus was awesome. If you want to waste your money and time, then this is the best college for you. The campus crowd is awesome.

I will love my college and it is very excellent.
Placements: My college is very disciplined. The teacher are very supportive. All teachers are well educated. There is more girls in our college and a big canteen to site and discuss with friends. We can play games like cricket, volleyball, tennis etc. Yearly there will be a tournament in our college in games n presentations after the tournament there will be a prizes distribution.
Infrastructure: The labs are very well maintained. There is a facility of Wi-Fi and canteen. The classes are well maintained with digital board with clean condition. There will be a ambulance in our college if any incident occurred. There is a big ground to play and there is a garden to site.
Faculty: All course are available and faculty is available for all subjects. All the teachers are well qualified they have the ability to teach and make the students understand. The teachers will help students like a friend. The teachers are r friendly to students.
Other: In our college there is more extra activities, events, fest.

Infrastructure and placements are good and rest are rubbish.
Placements: The placements are not good for my senior batch or my batch. Nearly 20 to 25 percent of the students got placed. The highest package was about 15 lakhs per annum, and the lowest is near about 2.50 lakhs per annum. Many companies visited the campus such as HCL, CMC, Infosys etc. The roles offered to the students are junior engineers, engineer, site engineer etc.
Infrastructure: When it comes to modern technology, SVIET is the best. 24/7 Wi-Fi is available both in classrooms as well as hostels. Labs are fully maintained with modern technology. A student can gain a lot of practical knowledge. Classrooms are well-maintained. Library and medical facilities are available. Sports and games are available in the campus. Very bad quality of food is served in the canteen. Hostel rooms are small in size, but both a/c and non a/AC rooms are available. Except canteen everything is fine.
Faculty: The teachers were helpful during my course, but they were not highly qualified. Regarding teaching quality, it was nor good neither better. Board and a marker with books are used for teaching. We visited 2 industries so far on behalf of our college, but we paid for it. The curriculum is a little bit useful.
Other: Events and fests are organised. The management knows how to take money from students in the name of funds and fees.

The best college for placements and the best infrastructure and facilities
Placements: Placements in SVIET for civil engineering are very good. Last year, CTCI gave a 4.6 lacs+ package to our seniors and they are very happy working there. Also, many IT companies visit us regularly for job & placements. I think SVIET is providing the best placement in Punjab. Many other colleges students also came to our campus for their placement. I feel proud that I have chosen a good college.
Infrastructure: SVIET has a very beautiful and large campus. The playground is very good. The hostel facility is excellent feeling like home. The SVIET auditorium is very beautiful and attractive. All classrooms and labs are very the latest and updated. Many food courts are on the college campus. Our college supports a lot for sports. Many of students of SVIET represent the national level and university level. We got the best facility here for studies and sports. The best part is the greenery of the campus.
Faculty: The faculty team of SVIET is very supportive and used a very good technique for solving problems. Teachers focus more on practicals rather than theory. Many technical events organized for improving our skills and confidence. Experts come regularly for giving expert lectures and every semester our industrial visit conducted for a better understanding of the subjects.

The college is better in quality and good for future as compared to other.
Placements: There is average placement in this college. Every college says that they have good placement, but it's not true. So, this college gives the placement who deserve in highly known and advanced companies. The companies like Capgemini, Mahindra, etc., visit this college.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of this college is good as it provides buses timely to the students as well as to the employee of this college. Buses are always on time and proper condition. No complaint of infrastructure has revelled till date. So, infrastructure is good for this college as I say.
Faculty: The faculty members are too good if your appearance is good in the college. The relation is good with faculty members. They provide as much help they can. They are too supportive and motivative. Time to time industrial exposure occurs and totally managed. They use modern teaching method and well-conditioned machines in the lab.
