SIT Pune MTech Eligibility & Highlights 2025
MTech at SIT Pune is a regular full-time programme offered over two years. Admission into the programme takes place through the GATE Exam. Candidates who have secured a minimum aggregate of 50% in their last qualifying exam for graduation are eligible for admission. SIT Pune MTech is offered in six specialisations, including MTech in AI and Machine Learning, Embedded Systems, Geoinformatics, etc.
SIT Pune MTech follows the reservation policy, 15% of the seats are reserved for SC candidates, 7.5% of the seats are reserved for ST candidates and 3% of the seats are reserved for the Differently Abled. Over and above the sanctioned intake, the institute also offers two seats per programme to J&K migrants and 15% of seats are allotted for international students including NRIs.

Yes, Symbiosis Institute of Technology Pune accepts GATE scores for admission to M.Tech programme. Aspirants who have not passed or appeared for GATE, can take admission by appearing for the SIT Entrance Exam. Selected candidates are then further called for a personal interview round. Once the selection process is over, the institute releases a merit list based on entrance examination scores, branch preferences, and availability of seats.
SIT Pune M.Tech admission takes place through the GATE exam, but if candidates want to enrol for the M.Tech programme through the MHT CET entrance exam they can apply for admission in integrated BTech + M.Tech programme at the university. Admissions for the integrated programme takes place through the MHT CET entrance test and the programme runs for five years giving an integrated BTech and M.Tech degree.
SIT Pune M.Tech programme is two years long. The programme follows a semester model which means the course material is spread over four semesters. Each semester students have to choose general electives and in the last semester students have to appear for seminars and internship. They can also do internships during the mid semester break. STEP 1: SIT Pune MTech Application Process 2025
Candidates meeting the eligibility criteria i.e. with a valid graduation degree can apply for admission. Aspirants need to pay an application fee of INR 1,000 for each programme. Below are the steps to apply for SIT Pune admissions:
Step 1: Visit the official website of SIT Pune, www.sitpune.edu.in.
Step 2: Click on 'Admission Registrations 2025' and register with the basic details.
Step 3: Login to fill out the application form and upload documents.

The college is among the best newly established private colleges in India and is ranked 38th by NIRF. About MIT Pune, Established in 1983, MIT Pune is a division of MIT World Peace University.
