Review of T A Pai Management Institute, Manipal, MAHE

Placements: For the 2024 batch MBA, 100% of placements are achieved, with the highest CTS at 32.77 LPA. The highest is 32.77 LPA, top 50 is 20+ LPA, top 100 is 18+ LPA, and top 200 is 15+ LPA. All students get internships; social internships are self-sourced, and sales internships are provided by the placement cell or can also be self-sourced, mostly with fintech companies for IPM.

Infrastructure: Textbooks are provided by the college. PPTs are provided by the faculty; computer labs, library, Wi-Fi in every classroom, a brand scan lab, and a lot of other resources such as E-Cell support are present, along with sporting facilities like a ground and a gym. One of the best, if not the best, hostels in Manipal is NIH, where IPM students stay.

Faculty: Teachers are really helpful and qualified, but it's a hit or miss with the visiting faculty as they can be either very good or really bad, however, student review is taken into consideration. It is, in my opinion, because we have the fundamental subjects of management as well as a lot of workshop-based and humanities subjects, even coding is part of the syllabus. The difficulty is moderate, and nearly everyone passes.

Other: Honestly, I chose this course because I didn't really have anything else to do; I didn't want to study B.Tech, and this seemed interesting. The best thing about my course is its practical nature, including workshops and presentations, largely due to the visiting faculty. There are a lot of events by various committees, good fests, a great alumni network, a green campus, and scholarships for the top six students.

Good College and Infrastructure.

Placements: The number of students placed is 60% of students, and the highest package is 7 LPA, while the lowest is 2 LPA. Top recruitment is from sales companies. The percentage of people getting internships is very low, and roles offered depend on the company that comes.

Infrastructure: The faculty is very good and nice, and they are very well-educated and knowledgeable. They explain in a very good manner. The infrastructure is also average, well-designed, and good for the students. However, a hostel isn't present for this, and meals are good in the canteen.

Faculty: The teachers are helpful for the first two years; later, students are needed to study on their own. They are knowledgeable. This course is good and relevant and good to students. The difficulty depends on how students study and read.

The best university of my life is Manipal University.

Placements: The placement offered to us is awesome. In our college the last semester students are eligible for placement and top reputed companies from all over the world visited our college for placement activities. Companies like Amazon, Flipkart, TCS, Infotech, Cognizant, Wipro, HCL, etc., hire students with a good package of 18 Lacs per annum.

Infrastructure: The hostel of our college is excellent. We have both girls and boys hostels. The rooms in our hostel are spacious making it easy for living. The rooms are cleaned daily by the hostel staff and the food is prepared hygienically, ensuring tasty meals are served.

Faculty: The course curriculum of our college is well designed. The course is meticulously planned by our college and the teaching faculty is excellent. The teachers have a good nature towards the students, and their teaching methods are advanced and superbly explanatory, making it easy for us to understand. Exams are conducted every semester.

Good college with 100% placement record.

Placements: Placement of this college is great. This year was exception otherwise it has 100% placement score. The average package of PGDM is 11.5 LPA to 12.5 LPA. Many companies visit the college as per records. I am 100% sure that our batch will also get placed in 2020.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of college was so good. The quality of the furniture is also good. They have all facilities like Wi-Fi, labs, and an awesome library which is among the best in India. But the college needs auditorium. The seminar hall is small according to the crowd of college.

Faculty: Teachers were so good. They helped us in every situation. They all are well qualified. They all have great knowledge of their subject. They taught more practically rather than theory. The course curriculum is so effective. The result of college were always good.

It's a great college for those who scored 85-90% in academics with 9-11 LPA salary package post-MBA.

Placements: Placements in our college are quite decent. The average salary package offered is around 11 LPA, and in 2020, it is 10 LPA. The highest salary package offered is around 25 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is around 8 LPA. Generally, 100% of the students got placed, but in 2020, around 90% of the students got placed. Roles offered are financial, marketing and IT consulting in reputed companies. Financial roles mainly include financial analyst, risk analyst and advisory roles. Marketing roles are mainly into the sales domain like area sales manager, territory sales manager, etc. IT roles involve cybersecurity consulting, pre-sales and consulting. Notable companies are Deloitte, EY, KPMG, Accenture, ITC, Wipro, Infosys, ICICI Bank, Jockey India, Magicbricks.Com, K12 Techno Services, Citi Group, HDFC Bank, Qualcomm, HSBC, Mahindra & Mahindra, ICICI Prudential, Berger Paints, etc.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is very good with Bloomberg labs. Classrooms are air-conditioned and well-equipped with projectors and whiteboards. The library at TAPMI is the 2nd largest in Karnataka with state-of-the-art facilities. The hostel is decent with air-conditioned rooms and attached bathrooms, and cleaning is done on alternative days. Overall the hostel is quite well-maintained. TAPMI hosts a 50-day long sports tournament and has 8 games. It has ground as well as several indoor facilities to promote sports.

Faculty: Teaching quality is decent, and the teachers are helpful in clearing doubts. The course curriculum is average, but students are groomed and given training through guest lectures and workshops. However, it needs improvement.

Other: I have chosen this course because this course is my best option post CAT, and also our seniors recommended it. I enjoyed the campus life and made new friends here. Faculty members here need to be a little more student-friendly and cooperative, and management needs to be less strict and ease restrictions on the students. It has its annual fests like Atharva and several other events like BrandScan, Meraki, QoTB and Bloomberg Championship that helps in overall development.

Overall development of a student with strong ethics.

Placements: Consulting, Banking, HR roles are the top roles. Companies like Deloitte and Grant Thornton comes for consulting roles. Also, banks like HDFC, ICICI are there for banking roles even in Analytics. Sales roles are also offered from fmcg to telecom companies.

Infrastructure: Labs are open 24 hours. Bloomberg lab is there for Finance majors. Top notch digital infrastructure in classes libraries and labs. Quality of food and dining area can accommodate around 500 people at a time. Various vendors are there for choice of foods.

Faculty: Teachers are quite knowledgeable and encourage for post class doubt clearing sessions as well. Students are engaged in various activities right from first year to make them industry ready. Many events like Atharva and Brandscan happens in metro cities with lot of consumer exposure and actual clients looking for insights.

Other: Event and campus crowd is one of the best in India. The proximity to beaches and temple town udipi adds to the charm. The temperature is also pleasant throughout the year.
