TINT Celebrates 79th Independence Day with Pride

August 28, 2025: Techno International New Town (TINT) observed the 79th Independence Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor. The celebration began with the hoisting of the national flag, a moment that united everyone in deep respect and reverence. This was followed by the rendition of the National Anthem, echoing across the campus and instilling a strong sense of pride and belonging. The event not only honored the nation’s hard-earned freedom but also reminded the students and faculty of their duty towards building a stronger and progressive India. Techno International New Town hosts a remarkable two-day technical symposium, Tech Synergy 2025

August 7, 2025: Techno International New Town played host to a remarkable two-day technical symposium, Tech Synergy 2025: AI Horizons & Industry Expectations, held on the 4th and 5th of August. The event, aimed at bridging the gap between industry expectations and academic preparation, witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, faculty, and renowned professionals from across the tech landscape. Organised jointly by the Training & Placement Department, the Department of Information Technology, and the IIPC Cell, the symposium brought together a stellar lineup of speakers from both academia and the corporate world.

Day 1 featured insightful sessions by Dr. Mohan Sridharan from the University of Edinburgh, Mr. Srijit Bose of Microsoft, Mr. Niladri Ray from TCS, and Mr. Parichay Das of LTIMindtree. Day 2 continued the momentum with talks by Mr. Rupak Ganguly, Ernst & Young, Mr. Prosenjit Chatterjee, IBM, Mr. Anurag Keerthi, Lexmark, and Mr. Jibendu Majumdar, Cognizant. The common thread running through the sessions was a clear message: skills matter more than degrees. Speakers urged students to stay updated with technological advancements and carve out their own strengths in the evolving tech ecosystem. June 27, 2025: Netaji Subhash University of Sports and Entrepreneurship Bill 2025 passed in the State Legislative Assembly. With this development, Techno India Group proudly announces the establishment of its fourth university — and West Bengal’s first-ever university dedicated to sports and entrepreneurshipThe new university, named in honour of the legendary freedom fighter Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, aims to emerge as a world-class centre that integrates athletic training with entrepreneurial education. It envisions nurturing future Olympians and innovators who will bring glory to the nation both on the field and in the global business arena.

TINT’s Final-Year CSE Team Shines at Smart Bengal Hackathon with ‘PulmoConnect’

May 6, 2025: In a remarkable display of innovation and technical prowess, Team "The Achievers" from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (4th Year) at Techno International New Town (TINT) clinched the 1st Runner-Up position at the Smart Bengal Hackathon 2025. The competition, held at the RCC Institute of Information Technology (RCCIIT) in Kolkata, saw over 900 teams participating, with only 83 advancing to the finals. Among these, TINT's team emerged as one of the top two finalists, showcasing their exceptional skills and problem-solving abilities.

Addressing a critical issue in healthcare, the team developed PulmoConnect, a comprehensive solution aimed at improving patient care through real-time monitoring and communication. The platform integrates patient data, automates vital signs monitoring, tracks artificial devices such as pacemakers and deep brain stimulators, and facilitates instant alerts and secure communication between patients and healthcare providers. 

The Smart Bengal Hackathon 2025, organized by RCCIIT, is a state-level event designed to foster a culture of innovation among students. It provides a platform for participants to develop solutions addressing real-life problems across various domains, including healthcare, education, and technology.

Techno International New Town Secures B++ in NAAC First Cycle, Setting Academic Milestone

March 27, 2025: Techno International New Town (TINT), Kolkata, has achieved a significant milestone by securing a B++ grade in its first cycle of accreditation by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The Techno India Manchester City Football School will offer training programs for athletes aged three to seventeen years, guided by British coaches handpicked by the City Football Group. Satyam Roychowdhury Becomes First Indian Honored as Honorary Academician by Italy’s Albertina Academy

December 6, 2024: In a historic achievement, Satyam Roychowdhury, Founder and Managing Director of Techno India Group and Chancellor of Sister Nivedita University, has been conferred the prestigious title of Honorary Academician of 2024 by the Albertina Academy of Fine Arts of Turin, Italy. This accolade marks Roychowdhury as the first Indian to be recognized by one of Italy's premier state institutions under the Ministry of University and Research (MIUR).

The conferment ceremony, held in Kolkata, was graced by H.E. Riccardo Dalla Costa, Consul General of Italy in Kolkata, along with visiting dignitaries from the Albertina Academy and other eminent guests.

There was a lot of competition this year for the competition, which is known for exhibiting the best innovators and technologists in the nation. The group, under the direction of the renowned Dr. Ratna Mandal, showed remarkable talent and originality in coming up with a solution that both the judges and the audience found impressive. Their exceptional work not only brought honors to TINT but also demonstrated the institution's dedication to developing talent and creativity.
