August 7, 2025: Techno International New Town played host to a remarkable two-day technical symposium, Tech Synergy 2025: AI Horizons & Industry Expectations, held on the 4th and 5th of August. The event, aimed at bridging the gap between industry expectations and academic preparation, witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, faculty, and renowned professionals from across the tech landscape. Organised jointly by the Training & Placement Department, the Department of Information Technology, and the IIPC Cell, the symposium brought together a stellar lineup of speakers from both academia and the corporate world.

May 6, 2025: In a remarkable display of innovation and technical prowess, Team "The Achievers" from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (4th Year) at Techno International New Town (TINT) clinched the 1st Runner-Up position at the Smart Bengal Hackathon 2025. The competition, held at the RCC Institute of Information Technology (RCCIIT) in Kolkata, saw over 900 teams participating, with only 83 advancing to the finals. December 6, 2024: In a historic achievement, Satyam Roychowdhury, Founder and Managing Director of Techno India Group and Chancellor of Sister Nivedita University, has been conferred the prestigious title of Honorary Academician of 2024 by the Albertina Academy of Fine Arts of Turin, Italy. January 16, 2023: On December 26, 2022, Techno International New Town and Ton Duc Thang University in Vietnam signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU). Partner has been created with the goal of promoting knowledge exchange, research, and collaborative efforts aimed at raising the standard of education provided to Computing and Communication Engineering students. The International Conference on Advanced Smart Materials and Structures 2023 (ASMaS 2023) will be co-hosted by TINT and TDTU and take place at TDTU in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, on June 28–30, 2023.
Techno India Group Launches A 100-Bed Temporary Covid Treatment Hospital
May 31, 2021: Under the leadership of Visionary Satyam Roychowdhury, the Techno India Group opened a 100-bed temporary Covid treatment hospital at Royal Park Stadium in Barrackpore, North 24 Parganas. Nehru Memorial Techno Global Hospital, a Satyam Roychowdhury venture under the Techno India Group's auspices, was built in response to a state government requirement. It contains 35 beds and is up and running. On May 31, another 35 beds will be added. On June 7, about 30 extra beds will be added.
Nursing care, monitoring, medicine, blood tests, x-rays, and oxygen will all be available. According to Dr. Sanku Bose, Group CEO of Techno India Group, a Covid Severity Score (CSS) software system will be introduced for the first time in Eastern India, through which patient parameters will be monitored 24 hours a day, seven days a week to assess the severity of the disease and scale the treatment plan/ICU admission.

Approximately 82% of students got placed with an average of 6-7 LPA last year, where the highest package is 32 LPA from the CSE department, and the lowest is 3.5 LPA. Good companies visit this college. There are more paid internships rather than stipend-based internships.

Top recruiters included TCS, Infosys, Wipro, and Cognizant. About 60% got internships at companies like IBM, Capgemini, and startups. Popular roles offered included Software Developer, Data Analyst, System Engineer, and QA Tester.
Placements: In the IT department of Techno International New Town (TINT), around 75% of students are placed. The highest package offered is ₹8 LPA, the lowest is ₹3.36 LPA, and the average stood near ₹4.6 LPA. Top recruiters included TCS, Capgemini, Wipro, IBM, Cognizant, and LTI. About 80% of students received internships, primarily at TCS and similar IT firms. The most common roles offered were software developer, full stack developer, system engineer, and data analyst.
