It is a good college with good placements and a good hostel.
Placements: Placements for mining engineering are good because this is the oldest and second-oldest mining engineering college in India. Top recruiters are companies like Vedanta, Tata Steel, Nippon Steel, etc. Management trainee posts were given to students, and many students in mining got placed with basic packages like 16 LPA.
Infrastructure: Hostel food is very good, and the hostel mess can easily handle 350 students. The hostel rooms are a bit spacious and can comfortably accommodate four students. The library here is one of the biggest with every mining book and international journals. There is a great availability of labs that will add practical knowledge and help you learn new things.
Faculty: You will easily find good and experienced lecturers, and you will have a great opportunity to learn. Students here always try to study on their own because everyone tries to crack central government jobs and live a good life.
Other: Mining is one of the oldest and best branches. This course at this college adds more weight to your certificate. Alumni of this college are in various positions in central ministries.

Overall, this is a good college.
Placements: 70% of students got placed in off-campus and on-campus drives. The top recruiting companies are TCS and Wipro, and they conducted off-campus drives. Lots of students got internships in many top companies like Google and Internshala.
Infrastructure: The college facilities are not much good, but labs and infrastructure are okay. You will get Wi-Fi in the college. The hostel infrastructure is not good, but the hostel food is good. The college provides good Wi-Fi with 5G network. A good computer lab is available.
Faculty: The permanent faculty members are good, and they are knowledgeable. The teaching quality is good. The course makes students industry-ready. The difficulty level of semester exams is high, and the pass percentage is good. The paper pattern is tricky. But you can pass the exams easily.
Other: I chose this course because I like this course. Not only in this course but in every course, time utilisation is important. Events are held occasionally, like freshers and farewell parties etc.

The infrastructure is not good, and the faculty are average, but every course has placements.
Placements: 40% of students got placed. 10 lakhs per annum is the highest package, 4 lakhs per annum is the lowest package, and 6 lakhs per annum is the average package offered. Overall, the placements in our college are average.
Infrastructure: The hostel is good and provides good quality food. There is no canteen. There is a new hostel block for freshers.
Faculty: Semester exams are planned keeping in mind that every student can pass. The pass percentage is 80%. The course makes students industry-ready. Campus life is good. The environment is peaceful. The teaching quality is good.

I am dissatisfied because of the faculty members and infrastructure.
Placements: About 6% of students got placed from our course. The highest salary package offered was 8 LPA, and the average salary package offered was 6.5 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was 3 LPA. TCS and Vedanta are the top recruiters for our course. I did an internship nearby, and it is fine. Top roles are offered in our course. All students got placed in software companies like TCS, etc., rather than in mining companies. DMT company also have recruited mining students.
Infrastructure: There are poor labs, and classrooms are fine. The library is also fine here. The food served is excellent, but there are no medical facilities and canteen. Sports and games are fine, but the equipment is not fine. Students are very talented in sports. The food served in our hostel is very good. Only food is good in this college than other facilities.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful here. Half of the teaching staff members are contract-based, and none of the staff members is qualified at a high level. However, some teaching staff members are good enough. Non-teaching staff members are also good. The teaching quality of some teachers is average, while it is good for others.
Other: Freshers party will be conducted here.

Infrastructure is not good, but faculty members and other things are good.
Placements: Almost 40% of the students got placed through campus placements. The highest salary package offered is about 8 to 12 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 4 to 6 LPA. The top recruiter of our college is Vedanta Minerals. All the students of the mining department got internships in the government sector like Singareni Collieries Company Limited.
Infrastructure: It is a government sector, and it is good for mining engineering. There is a separate academic block for mining engineering students. It includes 7 labs, a library and 10 classrooms. The hostel provides good facilities, and the quality of food is also good. There is a huge playground for sports and games.
Faculty: Teachers are post-graduates and professors, and teachers are also well-knowledgeable. The teaching quality of faculty members is very good. This course curriculum is relevant, and it makes students industry-ready. Our college provides industrial training through Singareni Collieries Company.
Other: I have chosen this course because I want to know how minerals are extracted from the earth. I wish the college to provide industrial training from 2nd-year 1st semester. There is an annual day, fresher's day, farewell, etc.

It has a lack of teaching faculty members and facilities like drinking water and LED lights.
Placements: Out of 30 students, 6 students got placed. The salary package offered is 3.5 LPA. Veranda is the top recruiting company. Our college also provides vocational training in NMDC, SCCL, UCIL, etc. Roles offered to the students are in mining machinery, rock mechanics, mine ventilation, mining geology, surface mining, underground mining, open cast mining, metal mining, mine economics, mineral mining, etc.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good. Labs don't have the equipment, and there is no library. The infrastructure of the hostel is poor. The quality of food is not bad, but there is no canteen and medical facilities. The hostel doesn't have proper lights, and drinking water is the main problem.
Faculty: Faculty members are helpful, but there is a lack of faculty members. There are only two lecturers, and they cover the maximum curriculum of the subject. There are part-time lecturers for one or two subjects of the curriculum. The course curriculum is good and relevant.
Other: Students can learn this course by visiting camps and can also gain knowledge. I wish the college to provide more faculty members and labs with equipment. About one or more events are conducted every year, and scholarships are given to students who are eligible for scholarships.

Placements: Out of 30 students, about 18 students got placed from 2019 batch. Due to lockdown because of COVID-19, only 8 students got placed from our batch. Our college informed that other 2 companies would visit here after lockdown to recruit us. The highest salary package offered is 7.95 LPA. The top recruiting company for our college is Vedanta, which visits every year.
Infrastructure: Our college hostel provides us with delicious food, but there is no canteen. However, our college good provides encouragement for students who are interested in games. Labs for our course should be slightly increased, and books in the library should also be increased.
Faculty: The course curriculum is relevant, and our college conducts visits to nearby mines which provides us with practical knowledge. Teachers here are well qualified and are very helpful in clearing any kind of doubts. They help and guide us for our projects, and they not only conduct theory classes but also encourage us to visit nearby mines to gain practical knowledge.
Other: I wish that our college should provide water plant and provide both girls and boys hostels.

It has a good campus and placements. It offers a good atmosphere to study.
Placements: Students who score 65% and above percentage get admission in this course. The minimum salary package offered ranges between 2.8-4 LPA. Top recruiting companies like Vedanta Resources Limited, Tata Consultancy Services, Wipro, cement companies, etc., visit our campus for placements. About 65% of the students got an internship, and they will get a job there. The lowest salary package offered in our course is 2.5 LPA, and the average salary package offered is 3.2 LPA. The highest salary package offered is 4.8 LPA.
Infrastructure: The college provides good facilities for students. The college provides free Wi-Fi facility on campus, but not in the hostel. The college provides good facilities in labs, but there is poor maintenance. Classrooms and library are good. The quality of food served in the mess is excellent, and but it does not provide canteen facility on the campus. Medical facilities are not available on the campus. The college provides good sports encouragement with the huge ground.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are well qualified, experienced and highly knowledgeable. They are helpful to the students, and they are like our parents. The course curriculum is relevant, and it gives better experience with industrial purposes. It makes students ready to serve in industries.
