It is a good college with good placements and a good hostel.
Placements: Placements for mining engineering are good because this is the oldest and second-oldest mining engineering college in India. Top recruiters are companies like Vedanta, Tata Steel, Nippon Steel, etc. Management trainee posts were given to students, and many students in mining got placed with basic packages like 16 LPA.
Infrastructure: Hostel food is very good, and the hostel mess can easily handle 350 students. The hostel rooms are a bit spacious and can comfortably accommodate four students. The library here is one of the biggest with every mining book and international journals. There is a great availability of labs that will add practical knowledge and help you learn new things.
Faculty: You will easily find good and experienced lecturers, and you will have a great opportunity to learn. Students here always try to study on their own because everyone tries to crack central government jobs and live a good life.
Other: Mining is one of the oldest and best branches. This course at this college adds more weight to your certificate. Alumni of this college are in various positions in central ministries.

Overall, this is a good college.
Placements: 70% of students got placed in off-campus and on-campus drives. The top recruiting companies are TCS and Wipro, and they conducted off-campus drives. Lots of students got internships in many top companies like Google and Internshala.
Infrastructure: The college facilities are not much good, but labs and infrastructure are okay. You will get Wi-Fi in the college. The hostel infrastructure is not good, but the hostel food is good. The college provides good Wi-Fi with 5G network. A good computer lab is available.
Faculty: The permanent faculty members are good, and they are knowledgeable. The teaching quality is good. The course makes students industry-ready. The difficulty level of semester exams is high, and the pass percentage is good. The paper pattern is tricky. But you can pass the exams easily.
Other: I chose this course because I like this course. Not only in this course but in every course, time utilisation is important. Events are held occasionally, like freshers and farewell parties etc.

I am dissatisfied because of the faculty members and infrastructure.
Placements: About 6% of students got placed from our course. The highest salary package offered was 8 LPA, and the average salary package offered was 6.5 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was 3 LPA. TCS and Vedanta are the top recruiters for our course. I did an internship nearby, and it is fine. Top roles are offered in our course. All students got placed in software companies like TCS, etc., rather than in mining companies. DMT company also have recruited mining students.
Infrastructure: There are poor labs, and classrooms are fine. The library is also fine here. The food served is excellent, but there are no medical facilities and canteen. Sports and games are fine, but the equipment is not fine. Students are very talented in sports. The food served in our hostel is very good. Only food is good in this college than other facilities.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful here. Half of the teaching staff members are contract-based, and none of the staff members is qualified at a high level. However, some teaching staff members are good enough. Non-teaching staff members are also good. The teaching quality of some teachers is average, while it is good for others.
Other: Freshers party will be conducted here.

Placements: Almost 40% of the students got placed through campus placements. The highest salary package offered is about 8 to 12 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 4 to 6 LPA. The top recruiter of our college is Vedanta Minerals. All the students of the mining department got internships in the government sector like Singareni Collieries Company Limited.
Infrastructure: It is a government sector, and it is good for mining engineering. There is a separate academic block for mining engineering students. It includes 7 labs, a library and 10 classrooms. The hostel provides good facilities, and the quality of food is also good. There is a huge playground for sports and games.
Faculty: Teachers are post-graduates and professors, and teachers are also well-knowledgeable. The teaching quality of faculty members is very good. This course curriculum is relevant, and it makes students industry-ready. Our college provides industrial training through Singareni Collieries Company.
Other: I have chosen this course because I want to know how minerals are extracted from the earth. I wish the college to provide industrial training from 2nd-year 1st semester. There is an annual day, fresher's day, farewell, etc.
