Overall very good college, satisfied with faculty, placements, infrastructure, events, etc.
Placements: Many students got placed into different companies from all over the world depending upon grades and their CGPA. 81% of students got placed in companies from college placement and other private ways. The highest package is more than a lakh and the minimum is Rs. 20,000 in my course. Top recruiting companies in our college are Technopark UST, Global, TCS, Tata, etc. 81% of students from my course got placed into different companies mentioned above. Top roles offered are engineer, software developer, web designer, manager, etc.
Infrastructure: The quality and infrastructure available in our college are average at best. Classrooms are average for a typical government college. The lab is better compared to classes. There are high-functioning laptops and computers. The lab works in an air conditioning system. The library also contains all kinds of books from different authors, textbooks, reference books, many informative books, and magazines. The hostel facilities are very good. It has very good tasting and quality food. It has first-aid medical facilities and a functioning health center. There is also a sports ground for football, cricket, volleyball, and badminton. Overall good infrastructure.
Faculty: Teachers are good and qualified with a high degree of M.Tech and doctorate. They are fairly knowledgeable and teach very well. They teach in a way that is very easy to understand and learn. Faculty members are overall very good. The course curriculum is of vital importance to the students. Students can refer to the course curriculum and study with reference to it. Semester exams are difficult as is expected from an engineering degree. But for a student who learns well, they could easily pass the exam. The pass percentage is more than 75%.
Other: I chose this course because an engineering degree is one of the best professional degrees which would help me settle well and get a high-paying job. By studying computer science, it is guaranteed that you could get a well-paying job and settle well. One thing I wish to be better about my college is the infrastructure is good but is a little old and the the curriculum is also old. Events, fests, the campus crowd, connectivity, campus surroundings, all extracurricular activities, and everything is the best that you could ever ask for. You can get complete college life here.

University College of Engineering Kariavattom.
Placements: There students are eligible for the placements from S7 onwards. The average package offered is from 3-5 LPA. Most of the companies from Techno Park visit our college regularly for placements, some of the top companies like UST, Infosys, and TCS are among them.
Infrastructure: Our college is inside the Kerala University campus, spread across 350 acres. All the facilities like library, campus Wi-Fi, canteens, ATM, gym, ground, cafeteria, etc., are available inside the campus, which are accessible to the students. Hostel facilities are not available for our college specifically, but there are many PG accommodations available around the college.
Faculty: The faculty members are very much friendly and supportive. Most of them teach very well. The curriculum being followed currently was updated in 2020. It is expected to be updated by this year. The current curriculum is relevant to the current industry requirements with topics like data management, Java, Python, AI, C programming, etc.

I had an absolutely beautiful and mesmerizing experience.
Placements: There are mainly 3 courses offered in our college. A total of about 180 students are recruited. Top recruiting companies like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, UST Global etc. Various internship programs and classes are available. Counseling about the job offers is offered.
Infrastructure: Facilities like Wi-Fi, AC labs, library, seminar halls and various facilities are available. Hostel facilities are available within the campus and outside also. The mess is very good. The university ground is available for sports and games. Medical facilities and first aid are available.
Faculty: The faculty are quite helpful and friendly. The quality of teaching is excellent. This course is relevant for various industry requirements. The semester exams are held at a proper time. The pass percentage is average. There are NSS and NCC services available.
Other: I chose it because I have an interest in the technical field. I prefer lab facilities because we need more time to spend in a lab, but we have atmost 3 labs a week. The events, fests and other programs are fantastic. Since we have a college auditorium, every event has to be celebrated there. The campus is quite big, and I couldn't explore the campus in my 4 years. There are a lot of adventurous items. They provide scholarships for students.

Awesome campus, superb college.
Placements: Many students are getting placed in companies like TCS, Infosys, UST etc. Campus interviews are awesome. They also provide career placement coaching sessions from best career coaching institutes free of cost. So totally, if you are ready to explore go for this college.
Infrastructure: You can enjoy the campus life here. Kerala university high-speed Wi-Fi internet connectivity is also accessible for every students. No hostel is provided for students but there are many hostels present in the surroundings of the campus as it is locater near techno park.
Faculty: Exams are conducted just a bit late and the results are also late. Teachers are soo good in clarifying our doubts. They will clarify your doubts as soon as possible not even considering the time of asking. So they help plenty in our studies providing enough study materials.
Other: Campus is just awesome. If you want to explore your 4 years of life, just go to this college. Campus infrastructure is good, there are so many places in the campus for free time hangouts, especially for couples.

It is a great place to start college life.
Placements: About 60-70% of students from our batch got placed. TCS is the company where most of the batchmates got placed. About 15% of students have joined several companies as interns. By taking this course, each student will be able to understand more about programming and IT-related concepts.
Infrastructure: The core subject-related labs are good. The library and the classrooms are quite interesting. The canteen is not working regularly. There is a chance for developing your sports and art skills as they conduct a lot of activities and fests.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are helpful and well educated. The course curriculum is relevant. Students will be ready to take the IT jobs at the end of the course. The college runs under Kerala University. So there will be board exams accordingly.
Other: I have chosen this course to start my career in the IT field, and now I am working in a well-reputed company.

Overall, the college is average.
Placements: Students get placed in companies like TCS, UST Global and Infosys. A lot of notable alumni have their own startup in which students can do an internship if a post is open. Other students are currently working in product-based companies like Amazon, Google, Microsoft, IBM, etc.
Infrastructure: Our college does not provide any hostel facility. But private hostels are available outside the campus. Labs are available for all the departments of our college. The campus has a total of 2 canteens and a health centre. The library is also available for all the students.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are very helpful and qualified. Overall, their teaching quality is average. The current 2020 scheme is industry-relevant courses. Semester exams are conducted by Kerala University, and they are mandatory to be offline, and no matter the situation. The pass percentage is similar to KTU.
Other: Overall, the campus life is extraordinary. It would have been good if more tech-based teaching was involved instead of the conventional. Many fests are arranged according to the situation and the calendar. The entrance to the college is by writing KEAM exams. About 3 seats are there for merit management and NRI. There is a good campus environment.
Placements: The placement rate of the college is below average. At present, companies are not visiting the college to provide placements. We need to attend their online interviews to get placed. Companies like TCS, Wipro and UST Global hire students from our college. They provide a salary package of around 3 LPA-5 LPA. The placement cell in our college provides training for placement interviews and provides internship facilities in top companies.
Infrastructure: Our campus provides an eco-friendly environment. The classrooms are good, but there are no smart classrooms. Our college provides free Wi-Fi and lab facilities to every student. There is a separate lab facility for every department. There is no hostel in our college which is a major problem, so students need to stay outside the campus. Our college provides buses for transportation purposes. The library of our college provides good books based on the course syllabus, so students can borrow books from the library.
Faculty: The teachers in our college are well qualified, but most of them are not good in their teaching quality. Only a few teachers are well experienced and conduct classes in an understanding manner. All the teachers and staff members are helpful to students. Students need to work hard, and teachers provide only support for us. Around 90% of students are not industry-ready because of poor teaching manners. There are no strict actions from faculty members to make students more productive. The teachers just come and teach what is available in our textbook. They don't provide any additional information about current technologies.
Other: I am from the 2018-2022 batch of computer science. I chose this course because the IT field is getting advanced today. Our college promotes students in extracurricular activities. Our college organises a fest every year which gives unforgettable memories. It organises arts and cultural events to promote students' abilities. Charity programs are conducted by student groups which make every student socially responsible. For students who belong to an economically weak background, our college doesn't provide any scholarships, but they can access government scholarships. Overall, extracurricular events in our college are good, and every student can put their effort into it.

I had enjoyable college life, good faculty, good infrastructure but dissatisfied with curriculum.
Placements: None of the companies visited our college to recruit students. However, our college placement cell helps students to get jobs and internships in top companies. Almost 80% of the students got internships in various companies in various fields. Many of them got internships in sectors in which they have passion rather than based on the course which they are studying. The average salary package offered here is around 1 LPA to 3 LPA. As I am a computer science student, mostly a developer role is offered by companies in our course.
Infrastructure: The overall infrastructure of the department is good but not very advanced. There are highly air-conditioned labs with medium-speed computers. Our college also has a Wi-Fi facility for students. Classrooms are not advanced and just have benches and desks and don't have projectors or other technical aids to conduct classes. Overall, the classrooms are basic. Our college does not have a hostel for both boys and girls. However, outside the campus, there are some hostels, but they are not very spacious and not comfortable. The quality of the food served in them is also poor. Our campus has a total of 3 canteens, 2 bakeries and other stationery stores. The quality of the food served in the canteens is good, hygienic and fresh.
Faculty: The teachers here have good qualifications to teach us. They are good at teaching and are very supportive as well. Most of them teach students very well, but the course curriculum is very worst. It is not upgraded and contains a lot of basic things. The course curriculum doesn't make students industry-ready. So, most of the students learn industry-relevant skills from outside. Even if we have an interest in learning new programming languages and technologies, the course curriculum doesn't contain them. So, we have to learn through other sources.
Other: I am very interested in programming and other technology-related things, so I chose computer science. Moreover, the world is improving to be highly automated. Every industry is started using technology to increase its productivity, and even the agricultural field is using technology now. Computer science students have a very good career in the future. The course curriculum is not updated, and it doesn't make students ready to work in companies. So, we have to learn new technologies and skills from outside. So, our college should improve our course. However, our college conducts many events, so campus life is enjoyable. Our college also conducts many sports events. Students will get all the scholarships offered by the government. Our college does not provide any scholarships on its own for students. However, our college conducts many social-relevant activities.
