It has good infrastructure and facilities, but the technical faculty is not enough for the students.
Placements: Only 10% of the students got placed in my batch. And from my senior batch, almost 15% of the students got placed. The companies like Infosys and TCS visited the campus. Most of them were offered the roles as software developers. All most all the students got the internship in their required fields, we did the internship for 10 or 15 days, but there were no stipends for the students.
Infrastructure: The classrooms have good infrastructure, well-furnished benches and tables. There was no Wi-Fi facility. The college has a well-infrastructured library, and all books are available for almost all the subjects, but the less number of books are available for a single subject. There is a contract based canteen, so the food is not available from a few months.
Faculty: There were 12 faculty members in my computer science department. Some of them were helpful, and some of them were not. All the faculty members were qualified but some of them having the lack of knowledge in their own subjects. Simply, they adopted the normal way of teaching, they didn't give us proper basics or awareness of a particular subject. The course curriculum is very useful.
Other: The college has a good union structure. The college is also involved in some political activities which were helpful for the students to improve their academic and non-academic sides. The management of the college was very bad, their decisions and actions always affected the students negatively. The college has a very good infrastructure, also have many acres of land, but the management didn't use it effectively. They are not ready to use the land for gardening or any other useful things.

A college providing good facilities.
Placements: Placement was good. The students who had more than 60 percent got a chance to attend interviews. Top companies like TCS, Infosys were the employers. Students who got placed through college placements are now well settled. Students got a good salary package as they are placed through college placements.
Infrastructure: Our college has lots of facilities. We have a high facility lab. As our college contains four departments viz. computer, electronics, electricals and mechanical. Each department has got its own labs. Each lab has a separate lab head and three lab assistants. The college has a bigger library. The library not only contains books of the curriculum but also books which help the students focus on their career.
Faculty: Government College of Engineering, Idukki has a well-trained faculty. We have good faculty in all the four branches. A faculty of around 20 teachers was there. As each department had separate faculty, it was easy for the faculty members to observe the students and help them on the things where they were lacking.
