A college providing good facilities.

Placements: Placement was good. The students who had more than 60 percent got a chance to attend interviews. Top companies like TCS, Infosys were the employers. Students who got placed through college placements are now well settled. Students got a good salary package as they are placed through college placements.

Infrastructure: Our college has lots of facilities. We have a high facility lab. As our college contains four departments viz. computer, electronics, electricals and mechanical. Each department has got its own labs. Each lab has a separate lab head and three lab assistants. The college has a bigger library. The library not only contains books of the curriculum but also books which help the students focus on their career.

Faculty: Government College of Engineering, Idukki has a well-trained faculty. We have good faculty in all the four branches. A faculty of around 20 teachers was there. As each department had separate faculty, it was easy for the faculty members to observe the students and help them on the things where they were lacking.

Other: University College of Engineering is a self-autonomous Government college inside the Kariavattom Campus. It provides 3 specializations in Engineering 1. Electronics and Communication Engineering. 2. Computer Science and Engineering 3. Information and Technology Engineering. The fees are pretty lower compared to other private engineering colleges. It provides a diverse atmosphere with other department blocks within the same campus ranging from Sanskrit to Biotechnology. The Placement cell of the college ensures eligible students gets placed in top profile companies like TCS, Mind tree etc. The campus provides opportunities in not only academics but also provide support to extra-curricular activities with big football grounds.
