Yes, you can also join Osmania University without GATE because there are many more exams from which we can join Osmania University like TSICET, CMAT, APECET, TS EAMCET etc. These are the national-level exams held in India through which we can join Osmania University by getting certain ranks which differs for different exams. GATE is one of the exams through which we can get a seat in this college.

University College of Engineering, Osmania University accepts TS EAMCET scores for admission to the BTech course. TS EAMCET Cousnelling is held round-wise. Candidates can check the last round closing ranks for TS Eamcet offerd at Osmania University in the table below: 

No hostels and PGs are available close to campus as per my knowledge. But separate rooms are available near Vidyanagar which is close to the campus.
