VJTI Mumbai MTech Courses & Fees 2025: Eligibility, Application, Cutoff, Admissions Placements

M.Tech fees (in INR) in VJTI -

• One time fees:

        Admission fees: 3,000 + Gymkhana fees: 1,000 +Identity card: 200

• Semester fees:

          Tuition fees: For general category: 25,000 per semester, For reserved category: 5,000 per semester

                  Exam fees: 2,000 +Development fees: 5,000

• Hostel and mess fees (optional): Hostel fees: 15,000 per semester + Mess fees: 18,000 per semester (approx)
• Deposits (refundable): Institute security deposit: 5,000 + Library security deposit: 2,000 + Hostel security deposit: 5,000

Considering the above breakdown of fees, the total cost of an M.Tech programme for two years is approximately 150,000 for the general category. Tuition fees for reserved categories are subsidized; therefore, the total cost comes to about 80,000. (Transportation, books, and stationery are examples of additional expenses.)

Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute (VJTI) accepts admission to M.Tech course through GATE entrance examination. GATE is a centralised entrance examination which is required to be taken by those candidates who are interested in pursuing M.Tech in any of the relevant disciplines. VJTI, Mumbai, also grants admission in the M.Tech course based on the candidate’s performance in the GATE exam.

Applicants need to prepare well for the said exam and secure a good rank because only those candidates will become eligible for counselling process whose rank is above the closing rank specified in the merit list released by VJTI. Yes, it is possible to get admission to M.Tech at VJTI Mumbai with a percentile of 95 in MHTCET exam. The cutoff was released as opening and closing percentiles for candidates belonging to the Home State quota. The cutoff percentiles among the General HS category candidates were closed between 7 and 496. With this range, it is highly possible to get admission to the college to a few M.Tech specialisations at 95 percentile. 

Among the other categories also, such as OBC HS and SC HS, the range of cutoff allows admission to the college at 95 percentile. Though at the this percentile, the choice of specialisations would be limited.
