M.Tech. in Civil Engineering (Structural Engineering) 

at VJTI Mumbai, Matunga East

1. The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering, or GATE, is the main entrance exam that VJTI Mumbai accepts for admission to the M.Tech program. To apply, candidates must have a current GATE score.
2. PG-CET: This exam is administered by the Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell to applicants for admission to M.Tech programs in Maharashtra's institutions. PG-CET results are accepted by VJTI Mumbai for candidate screening.
3. The entrance exam for Maharashtra State, M.Tech admission is called ME-CET, or the Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell. The VJTI accepts scores.
4. JEE Mains/Advanced: Candidates with exceptionally strong B.Tech academic records may have their JEE scores taken into consideration by VJTI.
5. CET: A few Common Entrance Exams administered by Central Universities are occasionally accepted as well.
6. MAT/CMAT 

M.Tech fees (in INR) in VJTI -

• One time fees:

        Admission fees: 3,000 + Gymkhana fees: 1,000 +Identity card: 200

• Semester fees:

          Tuition fees: For general category: 25,000 per semester, For reserved category: 5,000 per semester

                  Exam fees: 2,000 +Development fees: 5,000

• Hostel and mess fees (optional): Hostel fees: 15,000 per semester + Mess fees: 18,000 per semester (approx)
• Deposits (refundable): Institute security deposit: 5,000 + Library security deposit: 2,000 + Hostel security deposit: 5,000

Considering the above breakdown of fees, the total cost of an M.Tech programme for two years is approximately 150,000 for the general category. Tuition fees for reserved categories are subsidized; therefore, the total cost comes to about 80,000. (Transportation, books, and stationery are examples of additional expenses.)

VJTI Mumbai MHT CET M.Tech Cutoff 2025 was released for admission to M.Tech courses. The MHT CET M.Tech cutoff ranged from 489 percentile to 2.33 percentile for the General HS quota. Yes, it is possible to get admission to M.Tech at VJTI Mumbai with a percentile of 95 in MHTCET exam. The cutoff was released as opening and closing percentiles for candidates belonging to the Home State quota. The cutoff percentiles among the General HS category candidates were closed between 7 and 496. With this range, it is highly possible to get admission to the college to a few M.Tech specialisations at 95 percentile. 

Among the other categories also, such as OBC HS and SC HS, the range of cutoff allows admission to the college at 95 percentile. Though at the this percentile, the choice of specialisations would be limited. 

VJTI Mumbai offers a total of 19 specialisation (Electronics Engineering, Textile Technology, Project Management, Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering and others) under the M.E/M.Tech programme.The total tuition fees for the M.Tech courses range from INR 30k to INR 1.65 lakh.The placement at VJTI Mumbai for the M.Tech programme is better than at ICT Mumbai.

If you belong to the General AI category, then it is not possible to get admission at 90 percentile in MHT CET. In the last round, the closing percentile among the General Home State category candidates varied between 95.51 and 99.85. However, if you belong to the OBC HS category, then it is possible to get admisison in a few specialisations including B.Tech. in Textile Technology.

VJTI Mumbai is a government institution owned by Maharashtra State Government.  The institute is affiliated with the University of Mumbai and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). It is financially supported by the Government of Maharashtra. Moreover, It is one of the 14 institutes selected by the Central Government for development in Engineering education post-independence with a grant-in-aid from the Centre.

 VJTI Mumbai MHT CET Cutoff 2023 ranged between 95.51 and 99.99, wherein B.Tech. in Computer Engineering was the most competitive specialisation, followed by B.Tech. in Information Technology for the General category in the Home State quota. 

For the OBC HS quota, the cutoff percentile was in ranges of 92.5 to 99.77,  wherein B.Tech. in Computer Engineering was also the toughest specialisation for this category.
