The college seriously needs a lot of improvement.
Placements: I am a student at Vidarbha Institute of Technology VIT, Nagpur, and honestly, the placement scenario is very poor. Hardly any companies visit, and almost all students have to find jobs off-campus. The highest package is around 8 LPA for a few students, but the average is just 3.5–4 LPA. Internships through the college are rare too. Most students become software or web developers after doing extra certifications. If you're planning to join VIT, be ready to depend entirely on your own efforts.
Infrastructure: At Vidarbha Institute of Technology VIT, Nagpur, basic facilities are available but are very average. There is no Wi-Fi, and labs are outdated with faculty equipment. Classrooms are simple, with a few projectors and no smart classrooms. The library is decent but lacks enough important books. The hostel rooms are livable, but cleanliness and water supply are big issues. The mess food is just okay, and there is no proper canteen. The medical help is limited to first aid, and sports facilities are very basic. Overall, the infrastructure badly needs improvement.
Faculty: At Vidarbha Institute of Technology VIT, Nagpur, the teaching quality is terrible. Most teachers are unhelpful, rush through the syllabus, and don't prepare us for the industry. The outdated curriculum barely covers practical skills or new technologies, so we have to learn everything ourselves. Exams are easy, and passing is not a big deal since the college keeps them simple. Honestly, VIT just produces degree holders, not industry-ready professionals. If you really want to build skills, you have to put in your own effort outside of college.
Other: Chosing Vidarbha Institute of Technology VIT, Nagpur is the biggest mistake of my life. The teaching quality is poor, and the 75% attendance rule feels pointless since hardly anyone attends. Events are dull due to the low student turnout, and the campus vibe is lifeless. Extracurricular activities are almost nonexistent, and there's not much to do around the campus either. Overall, the college fails to provide the education, exposure, or environment I had hoped for. I genuinely regret my decision.
