- Computers: Computer is one of the most typical examples of the complex electronic devices that rely on the use of VLSI design. Through VLSI design techniques it becomes possible to build computers that are highly capable and at the same time cheap also.
- Automotive electronics: VLSI design is also applied for designing electronics in the automobiles like anti lock braking systems, air bags and navigation systems. These systems are being used for safety and convenience where VLSI circuits play a significant role in the operations of these systems.
