The college is placement-focused. Hence, there is more focus on academics.
Placements: Placements were very good. The training and placement cell was very active and alert in providing the best opportunities to aspiring students. The percentage of students getting placed was nearly 93% for the top 3 branches and nearly 85% for the overall college. I aspired to join a semiconductor-based company mainly hiring for the Analog or Digital Design Engineer role.
Faculty: Faculty members were good and approachable toward students, with obvious exceptions, which I felt could be found anywhere. In spite of the growing software-oriented culture, professors encouraged students to take up core engineering as their future in advanced fields of work. Many professors were open to research work with students who showed interest in spite of the poor research and experiential setup. I was from the Electrical Engineering Department, and as per my experience, the professors in my department were highly skilled and highly supportive.
Other: The crowd at VNIT Nagpur was fantastic. Seniors were really supportive in every aspect possible. We also had student mentors as part of the student mentorship program. There were various clubs. I was a part of the debating club. Octaves was the music club, Velocity was the car club, IV Labs was all about robotics and coding, and a few notable clubs. There were many events such as Axis Techfest, Aarohi Cultural Fest, Consortium Annual Event of E-cell, Institute Gathering, Department Gathering, Mech Days, Ganesh Chaturthi, etc. My personal experience was really great with the institute.

The sports facility here is excellent. I would say one of the best among all NITs.
Placements: In our college, students have to appear in the first semester and third semester to become eligible for campus placements. There are many companies who visit our college for campus placements like TCS, telecom companies, and other IT companies by theory and practical. In this course, you can understand about the origin of electricity.
Infrastructure: Aarohi is a cultural fest and is held for 3 days in October. VNITs annual technical fest is AXIS. Consortium is organised by an e-cell of VNIT in February. There are about 1.3 lacks printed books and 8,000 E-books in the VNIT library. Each classroom has a green board, tv, and two projectors. The overall review is sports here are excellent. Fests here are okay. The curriculum is also okay. There are various clubs such as Octaves for music, hallabol, acting, and many more.
Faculty: The faculty member and student ratio is 50:2. Many faculty members are also available in our college. The faculty I like is Proof Aayushi Soni mam who is an English teacher. My class coordinator treats students like a friend in computer science engineering, so I decided to join this college.

The first and best thing I love here is my lush green campus.
Placements: From the 6th semester, students were eligible for placement. In my campus, 100% of students got placed. Last year, the highest package offered was 12.25 LPA to Kriti in IBM, and the average package was 4 LPA. My degree was completed, and I was placed in Justdial. Over 100 companies, like Google, Amazon, HCL, and many more, visited my campus.
Infrastructure: I thought our campus was better than any other college when it came to greenery. The infrastructure was also very nice and attractive. There were many clubs, for example, Hallabll for acting, Octaves for singing, Iridescene for artwork, 911 for hip-hop, Bollywood dance club, Technical Club IV Labs, Velocity, Ashlesha Astronomy Club, and many more. I was in the Iridescent Art Club and tried for IV Labs and Ashlesha Astronomy Club, which I was eligible for the next year. Joining the clubs improved our self-confidence, communication skills, and personality.
Faculty: The faculty-to-student ratio was 1:20, and the relationship bonding was very good, creating a positive environment on campus between students and faculty. Math Sir Arun Dubey and English teacher Rich Man were very nice on my campus. Most of the students who attended the college passed every semester. Two internal and two external exams were held each year.

The events are good at Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology.
Placements: VNIT has a 100% placement record, with an average package of 6 LPA and a maximum package of 10.5 LPA. If a student does not get placed through the college, many faculty members have links with different MNCs, and with the name of VNIT, anyone can easily be recruited.
Infrastructure: The hostel is good, but the price is too high. For a single room, the cost is INR 50,000 per year, including mess charges. The rooms are a good size, and each block has common toilets and a wash area. The hostel is specific to Masters students, and is called BH-5 (Abdul Kalam Hostel).
Faculty: At the beginning of each semester, students are provided with a course book on the college website that lists all the courses offered by the department. Students can then choose their courses according to their interests. Some of the faculty were average and could have improved their teaching skills. The difficulty level of the exam papers was appropriate for the subject matter and students' perspectives.

VNIT is a good place if you want to increase your knowledge in the respective field.
Placements: For Masters, most students seek Ph.D., UPSC and government jobs, but still, there are placements on campus. Various coaching institutions and industries come every year for placements. The average package is 7-8 lacs. An average of 5–6 students get placements in every batch.
Infrastructure: The course is designed as an applied physics course. The classroom and labs are well maintained. The library is the best place to study. Wi-Fi facility is provided in the library. Hostel rooms are quite good; for Masters, there is one room per head and the size of the room is good. You will get a table, chair, bedside fan and almirah in the room. Ethernet ports are also provided in the rooms; however, you will have to bring your own. The food in the mess is good; a few days it may be bad but the rest of the time it is good. There is a health centre inside the campus. Also, sports facilities are good.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified. Their knowledge is good in their respective fields. Their teaching skills are good. As the course is designed for applied physics, the student got ready for the industry in college. Semester exams are easy to clear if you have an interest in your field.

It provides good teachers, a beautiful campus, good facilities, and infrastructure.
Placements: Since M.Sc was more of a research-based course, there was not much scope of placements from the college itself. However, all the students were made known of the opportunities in the teaching or Ph.D. field, and the teachers cooperated to let students know about the research opportunities abroad or in India.
Infrastructure: The physics laboratories were well-equipped for research on material sciences. The classrooms were well furnished and the library had a good collection of books. The hostel and mess facility was up to the mark and had all the basic amenities.
Faculty: Faculty members were very knowledgeable, helpful, and understanding. They make the course feel simple and understandable. The curriculum was very much relevant to the current need for research in the physics field, especially if students got an interest in carrying out work in materials in the future. The semester exams were hard, if students were not attentive in classes and seek help from the teachers, those exams would feel like a cakewalk.
Other: The faculty members of this college were highly reputed and I wanted to learn more about materials physics. Hence I opted for this course. The best things here are the coherent and correlated curriculum, the faculty, and the well-equipped laboratories. The infrastructure of the departments except the engineering can be made a bit better. The campus life was lively, with one or the other events taking place. Plus the surroundings were serene and full of trees that it will make students feel fresh.

Review of VNIT Nagpur - Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology.
Placements: There are paid summer research internship programs. Even if we are VNIT students or not we have to pay for internships. There will be no stipend for that internship. We have to pay for accommodation also. Our college has been the best of NITs in terms of placements. We have a very good percentage of placements. During the academic year 2014-15, more than 100 companies visited the campus. These included all the major companies like Coal India, Reliance Group, Jindal Group, DRDO, L&T Group, Bajaj Auto Limited, Oracle, Amazon, Morgan Stanley, ZS Associate, Snapdeal, etc.
Infrastructure: For masters students, 1 room per head is provided and the size of room is decent or may be more enough for one person. A table, chair, fan, and an almirah are provided.
Faculty: Faculty members are one of the best attributes of this college. Every department has professors who have completed their education from the best institutes in the country and many from outside India as well. Professors are very pathetic and understanding. They do not turn us down and never discourage us from taking up our interests and passions. Their teaching techniques are quite well. Exams are taken in 4 phases, 2 are internal, 1 mid-semester, and 1 is an end-semester exam. It is easy to pass them if we are highly motivated in our field. Faculty-to-student ratio is 1:2. Faculty members are highly educated and highly engaged in the field of their research.
Other: I would prefer to choose this course at VNIT Nagpur as I wanted to pursue my master's in physics and then go for PhD in Astrophysics. For registration, we have to check for the notice on the college site and pay fees online.
