Dissatisfied with campus life.

Infrastructure: We will get the best Wi-Fi, good labs, good classrooms, and the best library. We will get 24/7 Wi-Fi through LAN. The food is average. We have one healthcare center, which is good. We have an ambulance for emergencies too. There will be a lot of sports to participate in and practice.

An average Computer Science student's life at VNIT.

Infrastructure: Everything is well-equipped with every required thing in the department. Just the CSE department building is a bit old, as compared to the new infrastructure constructed on the campus. Labs do have ACs, and Wi-Fi is available. A unique building, i.e., Class Room Complex (CRC), is where classes take place. Hostels are well equipped with LAN and Ethernet connections for free internet. The cleanliness is maintained at regular intervals, but still, it can be improved a bit. Food quality is not bad, ...

An institute of national importance for a reason.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure available for mechanical engineering is well above average, and all facilities have been provided. The quality of food is decent, and the food tastes delicious and healthy. The facilities for sports and games are more than enough. Everything is available and well maintained. Many tournaments occur frequently, which keep the people engaged in sports.

It's a good college for a mechanical engineer, like myself.

Infrastructure: Typical government hostel, gets cleaned every day. LAN connection is available for all the students. The mess food is average, like you can survive on the food, except on Sunday night. A health centre is available on campus itself, and an ambulance is also available. Good enthusiasm for sports also.

VNIT Nagpur- the man, the myth, the legend.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure here is quite decent. There are old buildings dating back to 1980, and also newer buildings. Wi-Fi is available across the campus, except at hostels, where we have a LAN with good speed. There is a well-equipped international-level library. We have three messes. The food is above expectations, but is repetitive. It has one of the best sports facilities among all NITs.

Solid mechanical engineering experience at VNIT Nagpur.

Infrastructure: VNIT has solid labs, a huge digital library, and a good sports infrastructure. Classrooms are basic, no AC, and hostels improve as you go from shared to single rooms with LAN connections. Mess food is average, Sports /Medical are excellent, and campus life is vibrant.

The view of VNIT college from the eyes of a sophomore.

Infrastructure: There is very good infrastructure in the college for most of the programs, specifically for mechanical, there is a Siemens centre of excellence in which VNIT students can take part in certification courses in labs like product design and validation, test and optimization, reverse engineering, and many more. The mechanical engineering department has one smart classroom and many other classes. The only thing to complain about in the hostels is the food.

This was the best college for the M.Sc. in Chemistry course.

Infrastructure: There were good labs, great sports facilities, and a playground. Very big tournaments were organized every year, and coaches were provided for games. There was a hotel office. The hotel was awesome in every way, very clean and lush with lots of trees. The mess food was pretty good. There were large rooms for students. There was a small hotel fee of 750/year.

Great quality of life. Have to compromise a bit on placement.

Infrastructure: Classrooms and hostels are some of the best in NITs. 1st year students mainly get double-seater rooms, and if you report late, you will get triple-seater rooms. From the 2nd year, you have the option to choose either double or single-seater rooms. 3rd and 4th years are fully single-seater. 4th-year students get the newest apartment-class hostels. The mess is manageable, and medical and sports facilities are top class compared to any other NITs.

I am satisfied with the opportunities the college gives to students.

Infrastructure: A continuous LAN network is available in hostel rooms. The library is well-equipped with many books. Hostels are cleaned daily and hygiene is maintained. The food quality in the mess is decent. Medical services provided are very good and free of cost. Sports complex is also robust with so many sports equipment.

Review of VNIT Nagpur Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology.

Infrastructure: We have a classroom complex with six floors where classes for most departments take place. Each classroom has a smart board and AC. Wi-Fi facility is available in every classroom, and there are more than eight lifts for easy movement. Each department has its own building where practicals are conducted, and the practical infrastructure is excellent. For example, in Metallurgy, there are instruments and machines that cost crores. Overall, the infrastructure is good. In the hostel, students are all...

The college is placement-focused. Hence, there is more focus on academics.

Placements: Placements were very good. The training and placement cell was very active and alert in providing the best opportunities to aspiring students. The percentage of students getting placed was nearly 93% for the top 3 branches and nearly 85% for the overall college. I aspired to join a semiconductor-based company mainly hiring for the Analog or Digital Design Engineer role.

Norms and strictness are at their peak in 2026.

Infrastructure: The department of mechanical engineering is at the benchmarked cracking score out of all the departments as it was the first department of the college and the hostel facilities are typical of the South Indian style. Sports facilities are surplus in hostel facilities.

Review of VNIT Nagpur, chemical engineering.

Infrastructure: College facilities are good and department is huge. Labs have broken instruments and you learn nothing. Some hostels are good while old hostels maybe difficult to live in. Mess is average sometimes you might find insects in it but if they are alive then don't worry if they are dead then it's a problem (not said by me but by the mess head). Sports grounds are great and facilities are very nice.
