The college is more academic-oriented than extracurricular activities.
Placements: From the past two to three years of recession, the placements everywhere decreased gradually but since this year, the placements at VNIT Nagpur College are slightly getting better and better as compared to past years. The placement percentage of students is, however, less but the average package is good.
Infrastructure: For the sports, I will give all the ratings to VNIT Nagpur as it has the best sports facilities among many NITs but for the other infrastructure, it is slightly worse, as classrooms do not contain ACs. Mess is not good at all. Mainly for boys hostels due to not maintaining proper hygiene. The medical facility has good ambulances available for 24 hours.
Faculty: Honestly speaking, this college has a little old curriculum and it is a bit hectic for student's lives. Teachers are highly qualified and their teaching quality is like average to good. Exams are not very difficult if someone is studying a little bit daily. There are also some students who resumed their studies a year or more ago.
Other: This college has not too good campus life compared to other NITs, as it has a more academic-oriented college but it contains some big festivals like Aarohi. Connectivity is good as it is in the main Nagpur city.

Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) - Batch of 2029

The review that you need to know about VNIT architecture. I would recommend you this college.
Placements: So, there are two types of placements. The first is the typical traditional way of getting placed through the college placement cell. In architecture at VNIT, 50 percent of students get placed for about 7 to 8 LPA in companies like L&T and other core sectors, and in the second type of placement, off-college placements, students got 10 to 12 LPA last year. Many students preferred higher education.
Infrastructure: The classrooms are really good, especially smart seminar rooms, which are fantastic, I love going to classes as it have superb air conditioners. Hostel rooms, in my opinion, is good, but for 2nd, 3rd and 4th year. 1st year hostel is fine, but you have more restrictions.
Faculty: Yes, architecture is hectic. I will assure you, and especially in NITs it will be. But to be frank, the curriculum is seriously good, but I feel giving notes and reference materials for courses can be more organized. The professors are really cool, and you would love being here.
Other: It is 100 percent worth it to spend your teen years here in a very vibrant culture—festivals, clubs, events, competitions, and whatnot; it is NIT. You have inter-NIT tournaments, free access to NIT and IIT tech, and cultural fests.

It is really a bad decision to take admission here. Faculty are the worst, not cooperative.
Placements: My batch is not passed out yet. Once it is done, I will update soon. But previous batch. Placement was not satisfactory. It's really hard to score an 8 CGPA. The highest package was around 27 Lacs, and the percentage of placed students is really very low. Thank you.
Infrastructure: There are many facilities like LAN, library, smart classroom, laboratories, and many more. Our hostel is luxurious; we have been provided a 24-hour LAN. Water facility and cleanliness. The quality of food available in the mess is really bad. It is not tasty at all. It contains a lot of oil and vegetables with low prices.
Faculty: Faculty is really the worst. They don't teach well. They just complete their given period and take their salary. Its really shameful. Semester exams are very difficult and don't score at all. This college doesn't help students for industrial purposes. There is damaged equipment in labs. And no one gives information about our practical.
Other: The best things about this course is that it has Many fields. Teaching can be improved, but they don't try at all. There are various types of events happening. Ganpati, Holi, Navratri, institute gathering, department gathering, inter-not competition, etc. are organized.

Great campus life, sports and extracurriculars, but the placements are a bit off.
Placements: Placements are not really the attraction of this college, especially for the IT branches. Last year, the average placement packages for branches like CSE and ECE revolved around 14-15 LPA (which is much higher in the other tier-1 NITs). For core branches like chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, etc. the average is around 8-9 LPA. Placements percentage is 75-80%.
Infrastructure: VNIT’s infrastructure is quite impressive. It's spread across 215 acres of lush green land. For the 1st year, we have our classes in CRC (classrooms complex). Sports facilities are one of the best here. There is a health centre also for VNIT students which is free of cost and there is a canteen as well. The hostel I'd say is not too bad, it’s kind of okay. We have a night canteen in the campus. One thing I hate about the hostel is the in-time restitution which is 8 pm for 1st year boys and 9 pm for 1st year girls. The Labs are great and are equipped with almost every instrument used for studying. The mess is not good it's average, sometimes the food is below average. We have a really big library with every course book and other books being available. It’s the best place to study. VNIT also has it's own swimming pool which is really good and is properly maintained.
Faculty: The professors are strict here with regard to the attendance and exams. Overall, the curriculum at VNIT is strict. As our college has a lot of clubs (31 in total) like axis, e-cell, ivlabs, etc. it helps the students grow their soft skills and become industry ready.
Other: Overall, the college is great. Only thing lagging is their placements record, they should work upon it to improve. Extracurricular activities are excellent here. The college provides you great opportunities through different events. Alumni network is also great. A lot of things in our college are donated by the alumni association like the swimming pool. There is a big sports complex. Fests and events are very common and exciting. Nagpur city is also great. I chose chemical engineering because I like chemistry.

M.Tech. in Urban Planning - Batch of 2024
4.2

Strong faculty and a relevant curriculum provide good industry preparation.
Placements: About 80% of students secure placements, with packages ranging from 5 to 15 LPA, averaging around 8 LPA. Top recruiters include Tata Consulting Engineers, AECOM, and IL&FS. Around 70% of students get internships, primarily with companies like JLL and Deloitte. Common roles include urban planner, project manager, and consultant.
Infrastructure: The facilities for the M.Tech Urban Planning program are excellent. Classrooms are well-equipped, and labs are functional with up-to-date software. The library is extensive, providing good study space. Hostels are decent, offering basic amenities, while the food quality in the mess is average. Medical facilities are accessible, and there are good sports options available.
Faculty: Teachers in the M.Tech Urban Planning program at VNIT Nagpur are qualified and supportive, enhancing the learning experience. The curriculum is relevant and prepares students well for industry demands. Semester exams are challenging but fair, with a pass percentage of around 75%. Overall, the academic environment promotes strong learning and development.
