The view of VNIT college from the eyes of a sophomore.

Faculty: The teachers from the department of Mechanical Engineering are very senior and very qualified. Everyone has a huge pool of knowledge that they are ready to share with the students. The course is evolving and becoming more industry-ready with each integration, like the involvement of CADM as a course to give opportunities to those who wish to get into design-related fields. The exams are not really difficult, but they are not graded leniently.

Visvesvaraya NIT College review.

Faculty: The teachers are very well-qualified and are of a lot of help. The teaching method is of very high quality. The training program is very relevant and it definitely prepares students for the industry. Semester exams are at a medium level of difficulty. However, the pass percentage is dependent on the average score of the class, which is 50%.

It has creative learning and a strong campus life.

Faculty: The architecture department at VNIT Nagpur has highly qualified and supportive faculty members. They provide valuable guidance in studio and project reviews. It has a well-structured and industry-relevant course curriculum. It covers design, construction, management, and fostering problem-solving. Semester exams are moderately challenging, and complemented by the continuous assessment that maintains academic rigor.

This was the best college for the M.Sc. in Chemistry course.

Faculty: Teachers had extensive education, with the majority holding PhDs in their respective specialties. Their teaching abilities were exceptional. Honestly, the curriculum had no bearing on technical objectives. The semester questions were well-organized and extremely hard.

Great quality of life. Have to compromise a bit on placement.

Faculty: All teachers hold Ph.D. degrees from IITs, IISERs, or abroad and are well qualified. Teacher quality varies, but in general, the faculty is all okay. From the 2nd year onwards, the departmental faculty handles everything. Semester exams are quite easy. Mostly everyone passes except for the BEE and Maths-II courses.

Faculty members are very poor, placements are average, and infrastructure is good.

Faculty: Some teachers are good while most of them are useless. They don't know how to teach and it's a waste of time to attend their lectures. But for attendance purposes need to attend lectures. Their qualification may be high but some of them don't have a sense of teaching. First semester consists of 2 exams such as mid-semester and end-semester. Mid-semester is quite easy as compared to end-semester to score. End-semester is not only tough but also teachers don't give that much marks.

I am satisfied with the opportunities the college gives to students.

Faculty: All the teachers here are PhD graduates and helpful. Teaching quality is good. The course curriculum is updated and relevant. We have lab sessions for every theory course. Semester exams are very hard here and require continuous study. Exams can't be passed by studying one night before. The overall passing rate is almost 98.6%.

Review of VNIT Nagpur Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology.

Faculty: In our college, professors are extremely qualified and knowledgeable in their domains, with about 8–10 years of teaching experience. Some professors are approachable and teach well, while others are very strict and do not teach effectively. The worst part about this college is the semester exams. They are extremely hard compared to other colleges, and professors do not give good grades, making it really difficult to score a high CGPA like 8+. You need to study hard to pass exams.

You get fun while studying.

Faculty: The teaching quality is good, with knowledgeable faculty. The course curriculum is relevant, but the semester exams depend on the professors. The pass percentage typically ranges from 30% to 35%, and some subjects are challenging to pass, resulting in a lower cutoff for passing compared to the marks of all students.

The college is placement-focused. Hence, there is more focus on academics.

Faculty: Faculty members were good and approachable toward students, with obvious exceptions, which I felt could be found anywhere. In spite of the growing software-oriented culture, professors encouraged students to take up core engineering as their future in advanced fields of work. Many professors were open to research work with students who showed interest in spite of the poor research and experiential setup. I was from the Electrical Engineering Department, and as per my experience, the professors i...

Norms and strictness are at their peak in 2026.

Faculty: Faculty members are very strict. Sometimes not coordinative enough if you have grudges or harsh talks. They solely have the power to either pass or fail the exam and the curriculum is flexible as we can opt for many OCs and HMs to complete the credit.

Review of VNIT Nagpur, chemical engineering.

Faculty: Professors are like dictators, none of them follow a single set of rules each of them have their own set of rules. Course is good for research and not for placements, for placements you have to study on your own. Some subjects are easy but some subjects are there only to fail you. These professors teach to fail students, it's like a joke to them.

The truth behind B.Arch in VNIT.

Faculty: Our teachers and all profs are very helpful in the campus with good teaching skills and knowledge. The course is highly relevant to the industry. It makes students ready for the industry, not so difficult in examinations, one day reading is enough for passing.

A cute and short story about a struggling engineer.

Faculty: Senior pros are excellent but pros as freshers are a bit tough to reach student mindset. Everyone has expertise and knowledge in their core subject. The teaching quality is perfect. The updated course curriculum is good. The average passing is 35-40 out of 100 for every course opted. The course curriculum is somewhat vast but somehow manageable. It can be decreased by 2-3 courses. 8th sem has allowed students for a 6-month internship which gives industry experience for a fresher joining placemen...

The sports facility here is excellent. I would say one of the best among all NITs.

Faculty: The faculty member and student ratio is 50:2. Many faculty members are also available in our college. The faculty I like is Proof Aayushi Soni mam who is an English teacher. My class coordinator treats students like a friend in computer science engineering, so I decided to join this college.

No you can not get direct admission in VNIT Nagpur as the institute accepts students only on an entrance basis. You must appear for the accepted exam like JEE Mains, GATE, IIT JAM, etc. and then participate in the counselling process for seat allotment.
