GD Goenka School of Engineering organized its 3rd National Students’ Project Exhibition (SPEED-2017). The exhibition witnessed 120 projects being exhibited by more than 400+ exhibitors from 38 colleges and universities. SPEED is one of the biggest events of its kind in Delhi-NCR region. The event was inaugurated by Venkatesh Sarvasiddhi, Head-Academic Initiatives & Microsoft Innovation Center, Microsoft, and Prof. (Dr.) Deependra Kumar Jha, Vice- Chancellor, GD Goenka University. Venkatesh was immensely impressed by the number of participations, the variety and quality of projects and the infrastructure and level of organization in this event.

After inauguration, the exhibition was open for general viewing and evaluation by judges. The project evaluation team consisted of Devendra Burman, Vice President, Accenture and Amit Sharma, Head, Phoenix (India) Pvt. Ltd. There was huge excitement among participants and the visitors. The young innovators came prepared with their posters and working models to present and exhibit their ideas/projects. GD Goenka University students also participated with their projects and drew inspiration from others.

SPEED 2017 ended with valedictory cum prize distribution session during which Prof. (Dr.) Deependra Kumar Jha, Vice Chancellor, GDGU talked about innovation and passion required for solving current and future challenges. Prof. (Dr.) Sudeep Sharma, Asst. Dean, School of Engineering, presented a report on SPEED 2017 and interacted with innovators, asking their experience and feedback on this event. Cash Prizes along with Certificates were awarded to 10 best projects in various engineering disciplines (CSE, ECE, ME and Civil, Sciences) as well as categories such as Best Sustainable Design, Best Innovative Design, Best Cost-effective Design, Show Stopper and Best Project for a Social Cause. Nihar Ranjan Roy, Chairperson, SPEED 2017 presented Vote of Thanks to each and every contributor of SPEED 2017.

GD Goenka University does not have mandatory state-mandated seat reservations (like SC, ST, or OBC) for admissions. A relaxation of 5% marks or its equivalent grade may be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/Differently-Abled, Economically Weaker Section (EWS).

No, students cannot apply offline. GD Goenka University conducts the application process for all courses in online mode. The application form can be filled through the official website of the college. Candidates can go to the website for updates around admissions.

To get admission in BTech at GD Goenka University, students must have passed the Class 12 examination in PCM with 50% marks. The final selection is based on State Level Entrance Exams, or Goenka Aptitude Test for Admission (GATA), followed by Personal Interview (PI) round.

No, students cannot get admission in GD Goenka University BTech without entrance test. BTech admission is entrance-based. The final selection is based on JEE Main, State Level Entrance Exams, or Goenka Aptitude Test for Admission (GATA), followed by Personal Interview (PI) round.
