JEE Main 2021, CBSE Board Exams 2021 on same day? Students demand change in schedule
This year, the JEE Main will be held in four phases ββ February, March, April, and May.
Days after the release of the CBSE Board Exams 2021 date sheet, several teachers and students have reached out to the National Testing Agency (NTA) to postpone the last phase of JEE Main 2021 exam which is scheduled to be held from May 24 to May 28. The students came forward with this request after the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) released the CBSE 12th date sheet, and as per that the biology exam will be held on May 24 which coincides with the JEE Main last attempt.

While speaking on the JEE Main 2021 dates, a class 12 student of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Kolkata who is preparing for board exams, medical and engineering entrance tests, told a media house that βI have taken physics, chemistry, biology, and maths so that I can be eligible to appear for both JEE and NEET 2021. While the schedule of NEET is not out yet, I thought my board exams will be over and I will be able to appear for JEE without skipping any test."
The computer science students are also unhappy with the date sheet as their subject paper will be held on May 29, a day after the JEE Main. Nikhil Chauhan, a student of Delhi Public School said the preparation for both the exams is quite different, and focusing on the engineering entrance test will impact his board exam scores.
According to the reports, 21.7 lakhs candidates have registered for the exam for multiple sessions of JEE Main 2021. This year, the JEE Main will be held in four phases ββ February, March, April, and May.
