I believe in learning from my mistakes and working hard, says Pargavi A

I spent the college years getting ready for future endeavours in the real world. Performing good in college was imperative as it could potentially affect your professional career. I knew that the choices made during my graduate course would impact my career in the future.
I chose to pursue engineering because it was something I really enjoyed doing. I wasn’t really thinking about my career at that point in my life and was unsure of my future options.
However, looking back at my time spent at university I am grateful to the university for the opportunities it has provided me. Building a successful career required me to go out, gain work experience and also had to learn things that I didn’t learn at university. The knowledge that I gained enhanced my skills, that I think is so incredibly valuable for my career.
Admission is based on your cut off marks that you have scored at higher secondary. However, there are a few basic questions that you have to answer during your interview:
- Why do you want to get admission to this college?
- What do you expect to gain from college?
- Why did you opt for this course?
- What is your greatest strength and weakness?
You can direct the course of the interview into your favour by answering smartly. For example, if you are asked about your favourite sport, it’s very likely that the interviewer will further ask you about some famous sportsman from the same game. Make sure you have all the required knowledge in advance. You don’t need to memorise your answers just go through the different issues in advance so you’ll have some ideas to discuss during your interview.
One college semester is of eighteen weeks consisting of 8 theory and 7 practical subjects. It varies as one progresses to higher semester. Whenever I did not understand something I used to call my seniors for help irrespective of time. Those sessions with them have truly shaped my way of learning. My seniors helped me gain better knowledge as well as understand the topic more accurately. The competitive environment made me an independent learner.
I often spend most of my time with friends. I also study in groups with them in the hostel during exams. The college professors were amazing. They motivated me & helped in bringing the best out of me. My college experience was an adventurous ride full of sleepless nights. Each day I used to wake up with a lot of aspirations to fulfil all my dreams. I always knew hard work pays off and this made me going forward.
I spent the college years getting ready for future endeavours in the real world. Performing good in college was imperative as it could potentially affect your professional career. I knew that the choices made during my graduate course would impact my career in the future. In college, I experienced an extremely different environment. I learnt to deal with difficulties and challenges without losing my self-confidence. Every day I learnt and experienced something new in college.
