Mystory@Pramod Kumar: How I selected my college

1 min readUpdated on Jun 16, 2017 14:45 IST

After passing my Class XII in 1994 from CBSE Board with first class, I started preparing for IIT state level engineering entrance examination.

Initially, I faced lots of difficulties in clearing the exam. This was due to the high standard of questions asked in the exam for IIT admissions and my preparation in line with that. Also, due to the constraint of my family income and my residence at a remote place, I couldn't take any coaching classes. But I never lost my hope and started my preparation with self-study. I believe that God help those who help themselves. And, the right time had come for me as in the same year I cleared the prestigious Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) with state rank 100.

I was very happy after my selection and admission at a premier college.

My college life

I enjoyed my first year in college. In second year, I became serious about my studies. My room mates were very cooperative. We were always out for watching movies by bunking classes. We were the king in second year. But the third and final year of the college was the struggling year for me. I made my full efforts to maintain my percentage.

Really, college life never returns.

With a JEE Mains 2025 EWS rank of 57,797, BIT Sindri admission seems unlikely. Check your chances using a JEE Main College Predictor tool, visit the official BIT Sindri website, or contact them directly for more information.
