BIT Sindri offers admission to BTech course through Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (JCECE). The selection for M.Tech programme is based on GATE score of the aspirants. Besides, the institute conducts a written test/ interview to shortlist aspirants for PhD programmes. Hence, direct admission is not possible at BIT Sindri. BIT Sindri admissions begin with registration. For MTech and PhD, candidates can fill out the application form on the official website of the institute. BIT Sindri offers BTech, MTech and PhD courses across 15 departments such as Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, etc. Candidates who have passed Class 12 can apply for UG courses. Graduation is necessary to apply for PG courses. Admission to UG and PG courses is based on specified entrance exam score. 

There are 211 seats divided in 13 Various Courses in M.Tech in BIT Sindri.

The minimum requirements are 60% in BTech and GATE rank. 

You need to get more than 95 percentile in JEE-mains. Also, Candidate must have passed 10+2 examination with Physics, Mathematics as compulsory subjects and Chemistry/ Computer Science/ Electronics/ Information Technology/ Biology/ Information Practice/ Biotechnology/ Technical Vocational subjects/ Agricultutre/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies/ Entrepreneurship as optional subjects and obtained atleast 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) in the subjects taken together. For Lateral Entry-Candidate must have passed diploma in relevant field from a recognized board.

Candidates need to complete BE/ BTech or equivalent in their respective discipline with a minimum of 60% aggregate or equivalent CGPA (55% aggregate for SC/ ST) can apply for BIT Sindri MTech programme. Candidates must hold the documents proving their eligibility for verification at later stages of admission. Besides, aspirants must also qualify GATE or appear for a written exam conducted by BIT.
