As we all know that the recent outbreak of coronavirus has caused the schools and colleges to shut down and in order to tackle the situation, remote learning is being promoted by the institutions across the country. My college has also taken this initiative and is conducting online classes to cover up the syllabus as per the university guidelines. It is a new experience for me to attend these online classes as earlier we were confined to physical classes only.

As per the current situation is considered, online classes are helping us to continue our studies while sitting at our homes and avoid study loss. We can also save the lectures for future use and easily access them whenever required. But physical classes seem to be more enjoyable as we were able to meet our friends daily in the classroom, crack jokes during break and most importantly can go for a trip and tour which marks an important part of student life.

From my point of view, physical classes have an edge over online classes. Regular online class means long hours sitting in front of laptops and mobiles which may cause a severe effect on health. Physical classes not only allows one-on-one experience with the teacher but also exposes us to practical skills that can be beneficial for our future. Moreover, there can be other challenges while attending online classes like network issues and the non-availability of laptops to some students.

Due to this pandemic, our exams have been postponed till further notice so we have now plenty of time to prepare accordingly and learn more and more skills in this period which will be fruitful for our future. This situation has given me an opportunity to explore the things I always wanted to and use my creativity to draw and paint and learn new cooking recipes.

Most importantly I have got golden time with my parents who are now more involved in my college life. We now have great discussions every evening regarding my future plans and my perspective to achieve my goals. They seem to be more interested in my college life and they also get to know many things.

So, I would like to conclude by saying that these changes can be fruitful in our life if we grab the opportunity and make the most of it. This decision of online classes may be welcomed by many students and it can be inadmissible too for some students. But we have to accept this change and try to learn more and more from the opportunities as in this pandemic, the concept of online class seems to be a blessing for all of us.
