Top Alternatives to BTech: Shiksha Poll Reveals Students' Backup Plans
Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) is the most preferred degree among science students after class 12. It is a four-year degree program offered at government, private and deemed universities. Having a BTech degree opens doors to various professions in the government and private sectors.
We have also noticed that many students who are eager to pursue engineering choose other options than BTech. To understand this, Shiksha conducted a poll where students were asked about their backup plan beside BTech. 908 students participated in the poll, and 27% voted for BSc and a diploma in engineering. While others had different plans like BBA, and BCA.

To assess student opinion, Shiksha.com conducted a poll asking, “What is your backup plan besides BTech?” Out of the 908 students that participated, 27% voted for BSc and Diploma in Engineering each, 14% chose BCA, 6% voted for BBA, and 26% are considering a few other options.
BBA Full Form is Bachelor of Business Administration. Students from all three fields, i.e. Science, Commerce, and Arts can pursue BBA Courses.
