However, in terms of affordability, Coimbatore Marine College is a better option since the total tuition fee for Coimbatore Marine College is INR 297,000 and the total tuition fee for B.E. / B.Tech at Academy of Maritime Education and Training is INR 360,000 - INR 1,540,000. In the total fees that students generally end up paying the university or the college, various other components are also included, such as the exam fee, application fee, lab and other charges.

The School of Biotechnology and Bioinformatics - D.Y. Patil University accepts the scores of any national or state level BTech entrance exam for admissions. This can include the JEE Mains, MHT CET, CUET-UG, etc.

TNEA stands for Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions. The Directorate of Technical Education, Tamil Nadu conducts TNEA every year. It is an online counselling window. All Indian National candidates who wish to take admission to Government and Government Aided Engineering Colleges, University Departments and Constituent Colleges of Anna University, Annamalai University and for the seats surrendered by Self-Financing Engineering Colleges in Tamil Nadu have to apply for TNEA counselling.

TNEA counselling is a Unified Single Window Admission System for Indian Nationals only. The courses offered via this online counselling are BE/BTech and BE (sandwich) courses. TNEA counselling is conducted online in 4 rounds as per the schedule. Candidates need to participate in corresponding rounds based on their rank.

Guru Tegh Bahadur 4th Centenary Engineering College BTech admission is based on merit and entrance. Students are selected based on academic scores and JEE Main scores. However, JEE Main scores are not enough for admission. The final seat allotement for BTech is conducted through the centralised counselling process managed by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University.
