IIT Varanasi BTech admission is based on JEE Main and JEE Advanced. Students qualify Class 12 from the recognised board with 75% marks for general category and 65% marks for SC/ ST. PwD candidates.
You need atleast 60% to get in BTech at Calcutta University as per the eligibility requirements set by the university. Hence with a score of 55% in Class 12 you are not eligible. But you can apply to different colleges and universities.
