M.E./M.Tech	Candidate must have completed B.E./B.Tech. in Civil Engineering/Civil and Structural Engineering. Candidate belonging to reserved category must have 45% in qualifying examination. Candidate who have completed 10+2+AMIE or 10+3 years Diploma + AMIE are also eligible. AMIE candidate must have 2 years regular full time experience in the relevant field. Candidates with B.E./B.Tech. degrees obtained through Distance/Weekend mode are not eligible. Candidates with degree obtained without studying 10th/12th Std. or 3 years degree programme are not eligible. Candidates appearing for the final semester/year are also eligible.
B.E. / B.Tech	Candidate must have passed VIII, IX, X, XI & XII Std. from schools situated in Tamil Nadu. Tamil Nadu native candidate who have passed any of the VIII, IX, X, XI & XII Std. or their equivalent exam from schools situated outside Tamil Nadu can also apply. They should produce Original Nativity Certificate. Children of Central Government Employees, irrespective of their nativity, provided their parents or guardians (only if both parents are not alive) have been serving in Tamil Nadu continuously for the past five years can be eligible to apply. Sons & daughters of All India service Tamil Nadu cadre officers are eligible to apply. A Self declaration from the parent in this regard is to be produced. Children of employees in the Public Sector or Government recognised institutions had been working in their organisations for the past five years are also eligible, irrespective of their domicile. Other State candidates who have studied VIII, IX, X, XI and XII Std. in Tamil Nadu are eligible to apply.

IT Madras provides more than 25 scholarships which are based on the financial situation of the students or their academic performances. To avail these scholarship benefits, all the interested and eligible students need to download the respective application forms through the IIT Madras official website and submit the same to the academic section.

MTech is a two-year course divided into four semesters. SRM Institute of Technology Kattankulathur offers M.Tech in full-time mode in 27 specialisations and part-time in nine specialisations. M.Tech (full-time) specialisations are Automation and Robotics, Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Cloud Computing, Computer-Aided Design, Construction Engineering and Management, Electronics and Control Engineering, Embedded System Technology, Environmental Engineering, etc.

GATE Round 6 has been released for admission to the M.Tech courses. As per NIT Trichy cutoff 2023, the GATE Round 6 closing rank was 637 for General category candidates in All India quota for Computer Science & Engineering. Further, from comparing with the last two years' closing ranks, the competition has gradually increased for the current year. In the year 2021 & 2022, the last closing rank for M.Tech CSE were 753 & 653, respectively.

NIT Trichy admissions 2024 are based on GATE 2024 ranks followed by CCMT Counselling process. Candidates seeking admission to the M.Tech must appear for GATE in order to be eligible for further admission process. 

Kalasalingam University Tamil Nadu admissions are open online for various courses. Till now, no schedule has been released by the university. Since the application portal is live, candidates can apply online for their preferred course. The university offers over 30 courses at the UG, PG and doctoral levels through nine schools. Kalasalingam University accepts national or state-level entrance exams like MAT, CAT, TANCET, etc. for admission to specific courses.

The SSN College of Engineering is ranked 47 among the top Engineering colleges in India as per the NIRF 2025 rankings. This college provide placement support to the students. SSN College Chennai median package offered to the UG-4 year students 2024 was INR 8.60 LPA and the max. package received by the 2024 - 2025 batch students was INR 58 LPA.
