The COER University MTech eligibility criteria differs based on the specialisation. Listed below are the eligibility requirements to be fulfilled for each MTech course:

Computer Science & Engineering: Candidates must have a graduate degree in BE/BTech with minimum 55% (general) or 50% (SC/ST)

Mechanical Engineering: Students who have a graduate degree in BTech/BE or equivalent degree in relevant stream with a minimum of 60% aggregate from a recognised Institute are eligible to apply

Strcutural Engineering: Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from a recognised university. Additionally, they should have obtained a valid score in GATE or other appropriate entrance exams

Electrical Engineering: Candidates who have completed graduation under any relevant engineering stream, securing at least 55% marks or equivalent CGPA in aggregate, from a recognised university are eligible to apply

IIT Roorkee announced the GATE 2025 result on March 19, 2025. To check the result, candidates will need to enter their GATE enrollment ID, registered email ID, and date of birth. The GATE exam is very prestigious among engineering and Science graduates. It is conducted every year by one of the IITs among the nine IITs. In 2024, IISc Bangalore conducted the GATE exam. The exam also opens various opportunities for engineering and Science graduates to work in Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) and in the field of research. The Quantum School of Technology offers M.Tech course. The programme is offered for two-years. Admissions are on the basis of GATE exam scores. Students are advised to appear for Q-CARE exam as well to get scholarships. Application form are open on the official university website.
