The admission is entrance-based at the institute. Aspirants are required to apply with a valid score of the course-specific accepted entrance examination in order to apply. The accepted entrance exams are JEE Main, CAT/ XAT/ CMAT/ MAT/ GMAT, GATE, etc. Further, the seat allotment process for BTech and MTech is through JoSAA and CCMT counselling, respectively.

Candidates can choose up to one exam city preference while filling the application form. Anna University allots the exam centre within the preferred exam city or at a the nearest location to the city. However, choosing the exam city preference while filling the form will not guarantee allotment of the exam centre in that particular city. Anna University allocates the test centre considering the best possible comfort of the test takers. Anna University does not entertain any requests for change in the exam centre of exam city.

LNMIIT offers good placements to its students. The placement rate recorded during the placement drive 2025 was 93.76%. Earlier, in 2024 and 2023, the percentage of students placed in 2024 and 2023 was 85.11% and 93.9%.

The highest package offered during LNMIIT placement 2025 was INR 124 LPA whereas the average and median package received was INR 13.36 LPA and INR 12 LPA, respectively.

SNU Chennai PhD admissions are based on multiple selection parameters. In the beginning of the admission process, candidates are evaluated based on their past academic merit. Candidates must have a PG degree at the time of applying for the course. Further, the university conducts an in-house entrance exam/ written test for the selection of candidates. Futher, the final selection is based on the research proposal submisson and a PI round conducted by the university.
