To get admission in PhD course at IIT Bombay, candidates first need to fill out the application form. Aspirants who have completed a Bachelor or Masters or equivalent degree in Engineering/ Technology or master's or equivalent degree in Science or Arts/ Commerce with a minimum of 60% aggregate (55% aggregate for SC/ ST/ PwD category) are eligible to apply for PhD course. The institute has not released the placement report incorporating the overall data for the 2026 drive. However, the institute have disclosed the 2026 placement statistics till Phase I. As per the reports, over 250 recruiters participated and presented 1202 offers to the students. 1079 students were placed, of which 15 students have got international placements. 

IIT Dhanbad provides good placements to its students. At the start of phase 1 placement drive 2026, more than 300 offers and 200 PPOs were made. In addition, 4 CSE students were offered package of INR 80 LPA. The placement numbers are expected to increase after the end of phase 2 placements 2026.

For Anna University undergraduate courses, the minimum eligibility requirement is to pass Class 12 with a minimum aggregate of 45% (40% for SC/ ST candidates). However, Class 12 marks is not enough to apply for Anna University UG courses such as BE/ BTech. For Anna University BTech admission, candidates are also required to appear for TNEA counselling process. Basis of which Anna University will allocate the seats for BTech admission. For TNEA counselling, the University will consider the Class 12 marks. For Anna University PG admission, the minimum eligibility requirement is to have a graduation degree from a recognised board with a minimum aggregate of 50%.

NSIT cutoff for BTech course is based on JEE Main 2024 ranks followed by JAC Delhi Counselling 2024. Analysing the NSIT cutoff 2024, the last round closing ranks for the BTech courses ranged between 2473 and 18334 for the General category students. The mode of NATA, Engineering College course admissions is online. Admission to various courses is based on entrance test scores and merit. The accepted entrance tests are UCEED, NID Entrance Exam,  NATA, JEE Main, etc. Students who wish to get admission must sit in the counselling round for the admissions. Direct admissions are not possible for many courses at PEC Chandigarh.
