As stated by Shiksha user (Harsimran Singh B.E. in Electronics and Computer Engineering - Batch of 2029), Thapar Uiniversity offers value for Money. A total of 60-70 percent of students are placed. 1.3 crores package is the highest, and 11 LPA is around the average package. All major companies came for recruitment (FAANG and all). Hostel facilities are pretty good except in some 1st year rooms, AC and attached washrooms are available with attached balcony, mess food is provided by French company Sudexo. Extra-curricular activities rooms are also present in hostels. Overall crowd is also good.

All the CUCET-based scholarships awarded to CU students are valid for the first year only. To renew them for the further years, students should apply for renewal every year. The eligibility criteria for scholarship renewal is mentioned below:

• Performance: 7.5 CGPA at the end of each year
• College students must not indulge in any indiscipline activity
• Students should not have E, F or I in any of the subject in any year

For other merit-based scholarships offered by CU on the basis of JEE Main/ CAT/ MAT/ ATMA/ Class 12 & graduation scores, renewal of scholarship will only be possible if students maintain a minimum CGPA of 7.5 in the semester exams. However, for PharmaD course, it is mandatory that the students don't have any semester/year break in between.

LPU offered good placements this year across various departments like Engineering, Mangement, Architecture, Agriculture, Law and Computer Application, etc. More than 2225 companies visted the campus and offered more than 6000 jobs to the students of the batch 2025. The highest package offered was secured by the students of EEE branch which stood at INR 2.5 Cr per annum. The CSE students secured the highest package of INR 64 LPA.

The university offers a BTech programme for 4 years in several specialisations such as Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Civil Engineering, etc. 

CT University is not hard to get, provided the majority of courses consider 45% to 50% of aggregate in Class 12. For majority of PG level programmes, candidates must secure a minimum aggregate of 50% in graduation. Apart from this, candidates must obtain a valid score in CTSET which is the University conducted exam for majority of courses provided by it.

PCTE also provides great placement opportunities as well where the maximum package offered was 15 LPA and the average is 6.5 LPA. PCTE also has an Entrepreneurial Cell, a recognised Incubator by Start-up Cell Punjab for students who want to start a business or learn specific skills to expand their existing business. Even the fees of the college are very reasonable as PCTE has been awarded 2nd & 9th Best College on an ROI basis by Outlook Magazine and is recognised by the state government University. So, this was my honest review of the college.
