Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar University Agra is a public government university. It is formerly known as DBRA University Agra or Agra University. Agra University is recognised by the UGC and accredited with a 'A+' Grade by the NAAC. DBRA University Agra is affiliated with the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU), Association of Indian Universities (AIU), Medical Council of India (MCI), Distance Education Bureau (DEB) and others. DBRAU Agra is ranked 145 by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) in 2024 under the 'Overall' category.
Established in 1927, Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar University Agra is affiliated with 14 government colleges, 27 aided colleges, and 540 self-financed colleges with an enrolment of 21 million students. DBRAU offers MA as a two-year postgraduate programme offered in the full-time mode. To get admission to the MA course at DBRAU, students need to fulfill eligibility criteria. DBRAU B.E is an undegraduate degree programme in the stream of engineering. It is considered equivalent to a BTech degree.
