Every day, I get to learn something new: Muskaan Duggal

After completing my schooling, I was sure I wanted to do Hotel Management but not sure about which college. After a session of proper R&D, I came to the conclusion that doing this course from a private university is much better as you will get individual attention and the level of knowledge will be better. I filled the Vedatya Institute admission form as the fee was not very high and the placement record was quite good. After filling up the form, I was called for the next round which was the written examination. After I cleared that, the next round was group discussion round and the last one was a personal interview. After clearing all the three rounds, you get a confirmation mail.

Vedatya is my identity. Vedatya has provided me the platform where I can study, learn, and have fun. The best part is that we can also do research under professors right from the very beginning. Apart from academics, there are a lot of fun things to do. We get to learn about every aspect, be it academics or extra-curricular activities. Vedatya has provided me so many facilities like lawn tennis, volleyball, football, basketball, cricket, badminton, table tennis, chess and many more. The best part about it is that we have our own farms over here which helps us in understanding the growth and harvesting of vegetables and herbs we are using. We have a big athenaeum which has n number of books.

Talking about my personal experience, I’ve been a part of many hotels and had real-life job experience, like The Oberoi Group, The Roseatte, ITC, etc. Vedatya gave me an opportunity for my industrial training from a hotel and country of my choice and a department of my choice. I did my IT from Ramada Jumierah, Dubai and Holiday Inn, Aerocity.

Every day I get to learn something new from our module leaders. The best part of being a part of Vedatya is that we are a small family with whom we can connect professionally as well as personally. Each one of them is always ready to help at any point of time, be it in college or in personal life.

Not only the subjects related to hotel management, but we also get to learn the administrative subjects as well, like sales and marketing, human resource management, personality development, finance, event management, revenue management and many more to count.

I have been a part of many competitions like Rangoli making, flower arrangement, chef competition, sand castle, etc. which makes it more fun to be a part of Vedatya.

My journey here is going really well. Vedatya campus provides a supportive and caring environment to every student which helps him/her develop socially, physically and intellectually. It offers a wide range of opportunities for leadership growth, social activities and team building. We spend our time in college by keeping ourselves busy in presentations, assignments, workshops, and activities that really help us increase our self-confidence. I like to attend each and every class because in every lecture we get to learn something valuable. The faculty is extremely knowledgeable and they share their experiences and knowledge with the students which makes the classes interesting.
