DU Colleges 2025: List of Affiliated/ Recognised Colleges of Delhi University

At the undergraduate level, DU offers BSc (Hons) and BSc programmes across 19 and 10 specialisations, respectively, of three years' duration. Offered in both honours and general specialisationshe, the honours courses are more specialised and focus on a particular subject area while the general courses are more broad-based and cover a wider range of subjects, such as BSc (General) or BSc (Pass).

Out of the 90+ affiliated colleges under DU, more than 25 instituites offer BSc or BSc (Hons) courses to the students.  Admission to all these courses was subject to merit in Class 12 till 2021. However, starting 2022, admission for all the undergraduate courses at DU will be based on CUET (conducted by NTA). The most popular specialisations offered under BSc (Hons) at the University of Delhi remain Physics, Chemistry, Maths and Computer Science, among various others. CUET UG scores are not accepted by IITs. Common University Entrance Test for UG is conducted for admission to state, central, private, deemed and government institutions. Admission to UG courses of IITs is offered through other national level entrance examinations.

Most programs require a minimum score of 60% or higher on the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) in order to get admission to Delhi University (DU). In particular, a minimum CUET score of 480 out of a possible 800 is required to get admitted. Although the university takes into account a number of variables throughout the selection process, including extracurricular activities, academic background, and personal statement, reaching this minimal score criterion does not guarantee admission. While the minimum CUET score for each college, subject, and student category may differ, it is generally recommended to strive for a score in the 650–700 range for many DU courses.

CUET UG scores are accepted by more than 150 universities across India. The number of UG courses offered through CUET UG varies from university to university. Top central university like Delhi University offers 79 UG courses, BHU offers 18 UG courses and so forth. Candidates seeking admission to central, state, private or deemed universities throiugh CUET scores must check the list of courses offered and eligibility for each course.
