Ashoka Aptitude Test 2026 Question Papers - The exam body is conducting AAT 2026 in several rounds. While preparing for AAT 2026, the students must solve previous years’ question papers and sample papers. Q:   Where can I find the sample papers of Ashoka Aptitude Test?
A: 

The university provides some sample papers on their website. However, potential students can also practice by solving generic problem solving, critical thinking and reasoning questions. Not much emphasis is given to subject-specific questions in the test. Since, this entrance exam is for undergraduate programmes, applicants are advised to study their high school study material to study for the test. 

Q:   What is the pattern of Ashoka Aptitude Test for essay questions?
A: 

Exam takers have to type their AAT essay on the same system on which took the rest of the test. They will be given a 5 minute break before attempting the essay question. The fixed time limit to take the essay question is 30 mins and their is no word limit.  

Q:   What are the exam centres for Ashoka Aptitude Test?
A: 

Ashoka Aptitude Test is an online entrance exam. The Ashoka University allows applicants to take the test from anywhere with an internet connection and a webcam for security purposes. Hence, there are no physical exam centres. Test takers have to attempt 80 MCQs on critical thinking and problem solving and an on-the-spot essay. Students who pass the test are interviewed for admissions on the same day as their test.

Preparing for an aptitude test like this one becomes easier if there’s a plan in place. Given below are some simple guidelines that will help with your AAT 2026 preparations

  • Manage your time well. Make a timetable that prioritises subjects and topics that you find most difficult.

AAT Syllabus

Ashoka University provides the Ashoka Aptitude Test syllabus. Aspirants can expect the test to feature questions on topics like family relations, seating arrangements, sequencing, errors in sentences, synonyms, antonyms, phrases, etc. The test also usually contains math up to the 10th-grade level, and data interpretation questions based on bar graphs, charts, etc.

Q:   What is the difficulty level of Ashoka Aptitude Test?

Since the aptitude test is conducted for admissions in undergraduate programmes, the difficulty level is quite moderate. Questions from the quantitative aptitude section are moderately difficult but pretty easy for students who have opted for mathematics in classes 11 and 12. The English section is a bit tougher and tricky, however, not extremely difficult.

Q:   When should I start preparing for Ashoka Aptitude Test?
A: 

The Ashoka Aptitude Test is conducted in several sessions at different times throughout the year. It is advisable that candidates start preparing for the entrance exam at least two months is advance. For instance, if your exam is to be conducted in December, you should start preparations in October. While preparing candidates can focus more on the reasoning and data interpretation sections since they already have some subject-wise knowledge.

Q:   Are there any subjective questions asked in Ashoka Aptitude Test?
A: 

Yes, after taking the MCQs, candidates must write a 650-word on-the-spot essay. They will be given two essay questions out of which they have to pick one. Examinees from the past have reported that one question is more inclined towards subject-based, somewhat hard topics and the other is designed to judge the personality of the candidates. Students will be given 30 minutes to take this question.

No, if you have already taken CUET and have scored well, you can mention your scores in the Ashoka University applications. You might still have to interview for admissions though. The university also accepts SAT and ACT scores. 

Q:   Are there any specific guidelines to take AAT from home?

The university has set the following rules and regulations for taking Ashoka Aptitude Test remotely. 

  • Examinees must have a government-issued photo ID while taking the test.
  • They can take 5-minute bio breaks during designated break sections. 
  • They are allowed to use pen and paper for rough work.
  • Calculators are not allowed.
  • Webcam must be enabled at all times and the face of the examinee must be visible.
  • The assessment can only be taken on desktops or laptops.

To prepare the AAT study timetable, set daily and weekly goals, give more time to weaker areas, and dedicate appropriate time for revision. Try to stay consistent throughout the preparation journey.
