Visva Bharati University is a Government University in Santiniketan, West Bengal. Admissions will be granted on the basis of merit in the Common University Entrance Test. Calcutta University has more no. of affiliated colleges for the BSc course than VBU. Calcutta University has around 80 colleges and VBU has one, i.e. J.D. Birla Institute. The seat intake at Calcutta University is also greater than that at VBU.
