MCA after B.Com

MCA is a postgraduate course that provides professional knowledge in the important areas of computer science, software development, programming, management of IT, and so on. MCA can be done after graduating in commerce, science, arts, and many other fields. After doing MCA, one can find jobs related to IT, like software developer, web designer, data analyst, system analyst, etc. But since your background is commerce, you might need to solidify your fundamentals in computers and programming before enrolling into it, and you must have maths at the 10 +2 or graduation level to be able to apply for MCA.

Can you pursue MCA after a B.Com? Yes, you can do an MCA after your B.Com, provided you meet the eligibility criteria. The majority of universities specify that you should have studied Mathematics in Class 12 or as a part of your B.Com program, i.e., Business Mathematics, Statistics, or Quantitative Techniques.

Here is the process for the B.Com graduates to understand how they can pursue an MCA.

A:

No, you can't. The application form for MAH MCA CET 2026 will only be available online. The MAH MCA CET application form for  2026 will be released tentatively in the first week of January 2026 on the website. Keep checking the website regularly so that you do not miss out on any updates.

MCA used to be a 3-year course, but now many universities offer a 2-year MCA for graduates with a BCA, B.Sc (IT), or equivalent. As a B.Com graduate, you may still get into a 3-year MCA program unless the university allows a 2-year MCA for non-IT backgrounds.
