Admission criteria to IIT Guwahati is primarily entrance based and is different for all UG and PG programmes. Assam Don Bosco University (ADBU) is a private state university in Assam. It approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).The University is recognised by UGC, ISO, and IAU while being a member of the IUS, ACU and AIU. At the UG level BCom, BA, BCA, BBA, BTech, etc. are offered. Cotton University accepts applications based on the CUET, AHSEC, and CBSE 12th, whereas NIELIT Guwahati accepts applications based on class 12th, and in certain situations, a NIELIT entrance test. BCA is the topmost course in both universities and the average fee for BCA at NIELIT Guwahati is 1.20 Lacs and at Cotton University, it is 1.33 Lakh.
