SLAT 2026 WAT and PI
The Symbiosis Law Admission Test, or SLAT, is the entrance exam conducted by the Symbiosis International (Deemed University) for admission to BA LLB, BA LLB (Hons.), BBA LLB, and BBA LLB (Hons.) courses offered at the 4 Symbiosis Law Schools. Now that the Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET) Authority, which conducted SLAT 2026 has declared the SLAT Result 2026, candidates will have to appear for the SLAT Personal Interview (SLAT PI).

The SLAT WAT Round has been discontinued by the Symbiosis University. But the PI (components of merit for admission to SLSs through the SLAT) is conducted to confirm the qualified exam takers' admissions at one of the four SLSs - SLS Pune, SLS Nagpur, SLS Noida, and SLS Hyderabad. At this point of time, they need to know how to prepare for the PI conducted by the four Law schools of Symbiosis International (Deemed University). The Symbiosis Law Admission Test authority does not provide subtle details about the SLAT syllabus. Thus, the syllabus for SLAT cannot be specified accurately. The exam authority only shares the details associated with the sections related to the SLAT question paper, which are Analytical Reasoning, Legal Reasoning, Logical Reasoning, General English, and General Knowledge. Thus, candidates only study to prepare for relevant sections along with mathematics (of level up to Class 10) and current affairs to prepare for SLAT.
All Symbiosis Law Schools are equally good in terms of the quality of law education. Thus, after getting a good score in the SLAT candidates can get admission to any of the four Law Schools of Symbiosis International (Deemed University). Getting admission to an SLS depends on the cutoff marks decided by it. Thus, if a candidate wants to get admission to a Symbiosis Law School, he or she needs a SLAT score equal to or more than its cutoff. Generally, 65% marks in the SLAT are a good score to get admission to an SLS.

What is SLAT PI?
The PI or personal interview is conducted online. Candidates have to required to book slots for their SLAT PI online. In this round of the SLAT admission process, questions are asked in order to check candidates’ overall personality, their aim and objective as a future lawyer, and the fundamental concepts and scope of law.

How to Prepare for SLAT 2026 PI?

- Keep it simple - The first stage of all interviews is a candidate’s introduction. Learn to introduce yourself in the easiest possible way. This strategy will help you avoid confusion while giving your introduction and enhance your confidence.
- Know yourself - SLAT PI will assess your personality. Thus, to succeed in this interview, you must know about yourself. Learn about your strengths and weaknesses by thinking about them and writing them down.
- Be Honest and Humble - The exam authority checks your behaviour during the PI. Thus, you need to be humble towards them. Do not lie about anything because lying can make you stuck in the middle of the conversation. You will appear underconfident, confused, and dishonest to them.
How to Overcome Fear of Interaction for SLAT PI
Candidates looking to get admission in the BA LLB course at SLS Hyderabad need to appear for the SLAT (Symbiosis Law Aptitude Test). The admission process for BA LLB as well as BBA LLB are both entrance-based. Candidates with a minimum of 45 % in Class 12 without any compartments are eligible for the five-year BA LLB course.
Preparing current affairs for SLAT preparation require legal and general knowledge of events happened in recent years. You can refer to the previous year papers to know the kind of questions asked.
To prepare for this section, read the SLAT question banks from prior years. Try to stay focused as you practise SLAT mock exams and sample papers. Go through the Analytical Reasoning section important topics.
If you find it difficult to speak in front of others or appear in an interview, you are not alone. Many people face this issue and it natural. SLAT PI is also an interview and if you are afraid of appearing in it, then we have specific tips to help you overcome this fear. These tips are mentioned below:
- Try to articulate your thoughts well by engaging in question-and-answer sessions with people older than you. Generally, people do not interact much with those who are older, but doing so will make you feel like you are engaged in a conversation with an authority figure. With practice, you will become more confident and find it easier to interact with the SET authorities during the SLAT PI.
- People often feel anxious about interacting with others because they lack experience in speaking fluently and articulating their thoughts. If you face this issue, here is a simple tip for you: Choose random topics from subject areas related to law, history, or current issues, and open the front camera on your phone. Then, start speaking for at least one minute on the selected topic. In the beginning, you might not be very good at it, but if you continue this exercise for at least 15 days, you will notice an improvement in your speech. Eventually, you will build confidence in speaking in front of the SLAT PI interviewers.

No. SLAT admit card will not be sent through email or post. Candidates will be able to access the CG PPT admit card online. The authorities will not use any other mode to release the admit card of SLAT.

SLS Pune offers admission to UG, PG and PhD programmes based on entrance exam scores of the candidates. SIU conducts SLAT and AIAT for admission to integrated Law and LLB/ LLM courses.
