How to Prepare for PI of SLAT 2026: SLS Admission Schedule (OUT)
Now that the SLAT 2026 Result is out, candidates will have to appear for PI Round. Candidates must note that the SIU has discontinued the WAT process. SLAT 2026 WAT and PI
The Symbiosis Law Admission Test, or SLAT, is the entrance exam conducted by the Symbiosis International (Deemed University) for admission to BA LLB, BA LLB (Hons.), BBA LLB, and BBA LLB (Hons.) courses offered at the 4 Symbiosis Law Schools. Now that the Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET) Authority, which conducted SLAT exam has declared the SLAT Result 2026, candidates will have to appear for the SLAT Personal Interview (SLAT PI).
The SLAT WAT Round has been discontinued by the Symbiosis University. But the PI (components of merit for admission to SLSs through the SLAT) is conducted to confirm the qualified exam takers' admissions at one of the four SLSs - SLS Pune, SLS Nagpur, SLS Noida, and SLS Hyderabad. At this point in time, they need to know how to prepare for the PI conducted by the four Law schools of Symbiosis International (Deemed University). What is SLAT PI?
The PI or personal interview is conducted online. Candidates have to required to book slots for their SLAT PI online. In this round of the SLAT admission process, questions are asked in order to check candidates’ overall personality, their aim and objective as a future lawyer, and the fundamental concepts and scope of law.

No getting admissions into the Symbiosis Law School for the LLM course is generally considered easier than other institutes.
To get admission to the LLM course at Symbiosis Law School, candidates need to fulfill following LLM eligibility criteria:
- Clear either a five year integrated LLB course or a three year LLB degree from any recognised university.
- They should have obtained minimum of 45% marks in their law degree.
There is no maximum time limit to start preparation. Candidates can start preparing for the SLAT exam any time when they decide to sit for it. You can refer to previous year papers for the exam overview.
The number of SLAT practise sets depends on the number of practise sets an aspirant solves. If you want to solve fewer practise sets, then one month is enough to practise them. However, if you want to solve 30–40 practise sets of SLAT, then you need 2-3 months to do so. This much time will allow you to solve one practise set multiple times. As a result, you will learn about almost all the important concepts and topics from which questions are asked in the SLAT exam. Aspirants preparing for the SLAT also need to know the SLAT syllabus and practise topics related to it to score well in the entrance exam.

- Keep it simple - The first stage of all interviews is a candidate’s introduction. Learn to introduce yourself in the easiest possible way. This strategy will help you avoid confusion while giving your introduction and enhance your confidence.
- Know yourself - SLAT PI will assess your personality. Thus, to succeed in this interview, you must know about yourself. Learn about your strengths and weaknesses by thinking about them and writing them down.
- Be Honest and Humble - The exam authority checks your behaviour during the PI. Thus, you need to be humble towards them. Do not lie about anything because lying can make you stuck in the middle of the conversation. You will appear underconfident, confused, and dishonest to them.
How to Overcome Fear of Interaction for SLAT PI
If you find it difficult to speak in front of others or appear in an interview, you are not alone. Many people face this issue and it natural. SLAT PI is also an interview and if you are afraid of appearing in it, then we have specific tips to help you overcome this fear. These tips are mentioned below:
- Try to articulate your thoughts well by engaging in question-and-answer sessions with people older than you. Generally, people do not interact much with those who are older, but doing so will make you feel like you are engaged in a conversation with an authority figure. With practice, you will become more confident and find it easier to interact with the SET authorities during the SLAT PI.
- People often feel anxious about interacting with others because they lack experience in speaking fluently and articulating their thoughts. If you face this issue, here is a simple tip for you: Choose random topics from subject areas related to law, history, or current issues, and open the front camera on your phone. Then, start speaking for at least one minute on the selected topic. In the beginning, you might not be very good at it, but if you continue this exercise for at least 15 days, you will notice an improvement in your speech. Eventually, you will build confidence in speaking in front of the SLAT PI interviewers.

The Symbiosis Law Admission Test authority does not provide subtle details about the SLAT syllabus. Thus, the syllabus for SLAT cannot be specified accurately. The exam authority only shares the details associated with the sections related to the SLAT question paper, which are Analytical Reasoning, Legal Reasoning, Logical Reasoning, General English, and General Knowledge. Thus, candidates only study to prepare for relevant sections along with mathematics (of level up to Class 10) and current affairs to prepare for SLAT.
Yes, there are certain seats reservation policies for SC, ST and other reserved categories students who has got admitted to the school's any programme. Below-mentioned is the reservation policy for SLS Pune BA LLB course:

In order to be eligible for the BA LLB course at Symbiosis Law School, Nagpur, the student must possess at least 45% marks (40% in case of SC/ST candidate) in her/his 10+2/Higher Secondary education. This allows the student to appear in the SLAT test that screens applicants for admissions in BA LLB.
After appearing in the SLAT test, the candidate must achieve scores above the cutoff level as stipulated by the SLS Nagpur management. The cutoff score for SLS Nagpur usually falls between 43-47 in SLAT.
The total fees for BBA LLB at Symbiosis Law school is 16.50 lakhs.
