It depends on the candidate's educational background and plans. BA LLB is an integrated course of five years, where students study both LLB and Arts subjects. However, LLB is a three-year course, which is solely around the study of law. Moreover, BA LLB is popular among Class 12 pass wanting to pursue a career in the field of Law. The placement opportunities are also more attractive in NLUs and other private colleges. 

Thus, it cannot be really said which is course is better. However, BA LLB is slightly more popular.

BA LLB generally has higher competition for admissions as it is offered by top NLUs, private law colleges and prestigious central/state universities, with entrance exams such as AILET, CLAT, and SLAT, having low acceptance rates. On the other hand LLB (3 year course) is mainly available at all the top law universities, which makes the competition even more than BA LLB.

To improve the quality of legal education, colleges are barred from offering LLB courses in distance mode. Such degrees are no more recognised across India by the BCI or any recruiter. Yes, absolutely you can join MDU CPAS ( Maharshi Dayanand University Centre for Professional and Allied Studies) directly because in almost all the courses there is no any entrance exam is being taken by the university. Also this university does not accept the scores of other entrance exams for example CLAT, CAT etc. But to get direct admission there are several criterion of minimum marks scored which include aggregate marks scored in class 12th for undergraduate courses and aggregate marks scored in graduation and class 12th for postgraduation courses. For example to get admission in LLB, one must have scored minimum 45% aggregate marks in class 12th, to get admission in BBA one must have scored 50% in class 12th, to get admission in LLM one must have scored 50% marks in  graduation and 50% marks in class 12th also, to get admission in MBA one must have scored 50% marks in class 12th and 50% marks in graduation also.

The number of seats offered by Gurugram University and reservations for the same are as per the state guidelines. The seats offered for LLB is 60 and for BA LLB is also 60 at Gurugram University.
