Detailed information about RGSOIPL.
Placements: Placements had been good until last year, but there has been a slight reduction in the placement. Until last year, all the students used to be placed by the time they passed out. But this year, 10 students are still left unplaced but still, one month is left. Companies like Samsung and Cummins come for IP internships and provide stipend up to Rs. 35,000 per month. Law firms provide placements in IP. Placements are not in the non-IP corporate field.
Infrastructure: Rajiv Gandhi School has one of the best infrastructures in the whole IIT campus. The building is newly built and highly maintained. Wi-Fi is available in every classroom and corridor. Spacious moot court hall and a big auditorium are available just for the law department. Rajiv Gandhi School has its own library with a big plethora of books, not found in other departments. There are projectors in every room and speakers installed along with overhead text projector. Also, the classrooms are air-conditioned with newly installed ACS in last week only.
Faculty: The faculty are one of the best in the law fraternity. Almost all of them have their doctorates and postgraduates from foreign universities and highly knowledgeable. Teachers are approachable and will always take your doubts and may even allot specific time for you. The course curriculum is a bit hectic but is unique and is different from rest of the law schools. We have to submit presentations, assignment, dissertations, seminars and papers. Moot court is compulsory and has two credits. Teaching material is readily given out. We have 12 faculty members for 100 students. Teachers have a very good connection and will always connect you to their contact if you show your worth.
